The pizza was awesome!! This was first time here and we will definitely be back- we just need to figure out how we will be going… (described in more detail below)Tables- The wait time was around 20 minutes which wasn’t a problem. The couple who checked in, in front of us was offered a seat in the ‘smaller’ tables right by the front door on the right side as an option and they accepted to sit there. There were no other tables so we waited, no problem. When our name was called, we were sat in that same area anyways without being asked if it was alright which seemed fine; we weren’t sure why the hostess asked that couple if that table area was alright.. we thought it was just another regular table area. The only thing I came to find was that the tables are horribly uncomfortable. It’s like the area was built for a ‘waiting area’ and turned into these super short and tiny tables. They are really short so for my partner and I each being over 6 feet tall, it was miserable by the time we left. My back was seated to the entry area and I felt like we had no privacy at all with our meal. There were people waiting for tables standing right next to me to the left and others leaning against the back of the booth I was sitting in; so constantly we could hear what was going on at the hostess station or have children looking at us while we sat there with each other.Food- the food was delicious. Some of the best pizza we have had lately and very well priced. We also had an order of the wings, which were also very good but seemed to be overpriced. I think it was $13 or $14 for six wings so at over $2 a wing I would expect them to be outstanding. They were good, just nothing special. The wings took about 30 minutes and the pizza took another hour at least. We arrived around 5:10, waited about 15 minutes for a table and didn’t get our food until about 6:50. We knew they were busy so the food would take awhile but by the time it found its way to our table, was very long. The waitress apologized for the long delay and she was awesome. These are the reasons I said we would need to strategically think about when we would be back.. they don’t take reservations so it seems either we order take out or try to get there way before 5pm to get a ‘regular’ table and faster service. I heard them shut off the take out service when people were calling in (sitting right by the hostess stand) so maybe ordering very early take out is the best option for this place.Overall, really great food. They did seem really disorganized when we got there so maybe consider ordering early take out as the best option.
I can't believe I haven't heard of this place sooner.. absolutely phenomenal. The setting, ambience, staff and food are 10/10. I really recommend the "funguy" pizza, truly delicious. I'll definitely be a frequent visitor.
The new Ken Caryl location has such a nice vibe to it. The ski gondola table is great for a date night, the doors close which gives you a more private/quiet place to talk. The staff is great,, our server Becky made our time there so enjoyable! The pizza is so good!!! My favorite are the "fun guy" and the " Pig and pears"! I can't wait to go back!
This is a pretty nice place - much nicer than most restaurants on the west side. Their decor is cool: they have ski lifts out front, and a gondola car inside. The Pork & Pears pizza was tasty, but not at all spicy. We also had the roasted beet salad. There was a lot of arugula on our lunch. The pilsner was pretty good.
Pretty nice beers, pizza and pasta restaurant. Good beer selection on draft. Chicken param and meatball sliders were a hit, pizzas were okay, fingerling potatoes were pretty good.
Exactly what Ken Caryl needed. Great food, drinks, happy hour, service, and ambiance. Drinks are a little pricey if not on happy hour, but the pros make up for it.The pictures posted are of the Grinder sandwich and Sausage & Mushroom fusilli. Both were really good, but I probably like the pasta better.Would also recommend the sliders, pizza, and anything else! Everything I've tried here has been amazing!
I would give this place a solid 3.5 stars. A little too expensive, waited a bit too long to get in, but damn if everything didn't taste so good.We got ourselves two different pizza pies and an order of chicken parmesan. The chicken may have been the best I've ever had. The pizza tasted great but the center was incredibly mushy and floppy. Each slice dropped and the toppings slid off. Not sure if they just didn't have the center cooked all the way or what.In all, we spent over $100 for the food and one drink. I'd probably go back. But not more than once a month or so.The decor was great but it was packed and loud. Not the most enjoyable for our family.
Place has a cool vintage game room for the kids! Ours used it while waiting on food. And speaking of the food, it was pretty good. Good selection of beer, salads are excellent, pizzas are good but seemed a little thin. We will definitely be returning!
We finally tried this place tonight, and it was top notch all the way! From the impeccable, attentive service to the amazing food, we will definitely be back. We had the meatballs and Brussels sprouts starters—super tasty, but we highly recommend the Pig ‘n Pear pizza—wow! So many flavors, and the crust was perfect!
Opened recently and we're so thrilled to add this to the neighborhood restaurants. All ingredients locally sourced. Attentive waitstaff. Very cool vibe going on here. Nice place to gather. Happy Hour specials are awesome! We ordered a couple of apps and the Meat Lovers pizza. The candied bacon on it was a real treat. Definitely see this as being a new place to occasionally hang out.Sidenote: This was the place where we foiled the guys plans of stealing the bobcat when they were building the place.
