The food was good. The service was bad. Took about 15 minutes after we were seated before our server came over. Also took a little bit after we got our drinks before we were able to order our food. We were seated by the kitchen and several tables walked over to ask for their checks while we were sitting there so it seems to be a restaurant issue, not a server issue.
This place is always delicious. The portions are just right and the presentation is on point. Walk in any direction and you'll find shopping and entertainment to enjoy after your meal. Fyi if there is no parking on the street there is a parking lot just south of the restaurant.
Always pretty good. If you want the best combination I always get the Tonkotsu ramen with the wasabi special rolls. The ramen is perfect and the meat in it is absolutely mouth watering. Good service although when it's busy it might take a bit to be seated so I recommend going when not so busy.
Came in during the late afternoon on a Tuesday and was able to get a table for myself and 2 friends right away. Friendly staff, delicious food. We all had drinks and a lot of other appetizers as well as some of their signature rolls. We over ate and had a great time for a couple hours.Only issue I had was they seemed to overseas or crowd our side of the restaurant, there are 2 apparent sections and they only seemed to be seating our side haha but that's not a big deal! Will definitely be back again :)
Not fresh, freezer burnt.. we asked our waiter about the 2 pieces of fish that were clearly not fresh, and he tried to tell us that it was "seared"......
These photos were taken about 4 months apart. I’ve been here about 5 times and keep going back to give it a chance. Now, I will never return. I’ve never had friendly service here and their food is not good. These rolls are the size of your palm, thrown together without a care, falling apart before you can pick it up. The fish is not high quality, you’ll taste all the fatty strings in each piece of fish. Very disappointing.
Great food and great service. Got the lunch bento box which had a good amount of food. Walked away with leftovers.
Ordered through DoorDash for pickup on my lunch break. Was never given a confirmation that my order was ready to be picked up almost an hour after placing, so I just went. Stood at the hostess stand for almost 5 minutes before any staff acknowledged me, although some just seemed to be standing around. When I finally got my food, my wontons were ice cold, miso soup and tea were lukewarm at best.As far as the food itself - wonton filling had a grainy texture and the tops of them were almost burnt and they had very little flavor and the Miso soup was fine. I got a Philly roll, which was also fine as it’s pretty hard to mess up, but the spicy tuna was not good at all - very little taste other than just spicy, and a terrible texture.I’ll be calling about a refund because more than half of my order was cold and had to be reheated. Completely avoidable had they confirmed that my order was ready for pickup as soon as it was done. Especially concerning because raw fish should not be sitting out. There are better places around worth your time and money.
I'm giving a 3 despite the fact that the food was nice but I wasn't happy the way they billed me in the end. 3 adults and 2 kids under 5, they charged is as a large party and only informed me about it when they gave me the receipt. I was too shocked and busy with my kids at the time to say anything but when I walked out, I thought to myself, that's very strange. I looked online to see what was the requirements for large parties. Usually it's 6 adults or more and they have to let you know prior to you ordering your meal. There was nothing written on their menu about it. So quite disappointing.
This is what $29 will get you at this place. I’m not even counting the delivery fee and all that either because delivery was the option I chose not the restaurant. Still 8 crab cheese wantons and 5 pieces of fish no rice just fish and a sweet n sour sauce that is just enough to coat the bottom of the cup. Avoid this place by all means unless you want to feel like you just got taken. A complete and total rip off. This place isn’t even worth driving by let alone a second chance. Better sushi for the price is everywhere in the Bay Area just pick one and I promise it’ll be better than this place. One star is to nice, stay away. Highly NOT recommended
