Should have listened to my sister. Interracial couples are not welcome here. If they are Terri C. is not. We got seated by the hostess who was very nice. Once we met Terri automatically "alright let's go guys" like goodness gracious if you don't want to serve us just let us know. Asked what drinks we would like. It was rushed like 5 minutes to get your order in. She stood there sighing, waiting instead of saying I'll be right back. We got everything in. She went to the next table and laughed up a storm with the non-mixed couples. Older non-minorities were served with great customer service. We received a dirty fork. Caesar salad tasted like dirt old lettuce. The lettuce under the mozzarella sticks was fresh though. She didn't pick up the dishes before bringing our dinner. So it was us gathering the plates and getting them ready for her to take. Food felt old, my husband got the fried steak he said it felt like rubber. My favorite part was my kids, they were supposed to get cookies as a part of the kids meals. Did they? No but the non-minority girl got a cookie. I definitely saw it when I was walking to the bathroom. The only time we got a smile was when she got the $67 from us. We waited for the cookies and didn't even feel like asking for them, like why even at this point. Thanks for making me wake up and realize racism is real here. Thanks for the tears.
By far this is the best restaurant when it comes to old fashioned cooking, it reminds me of my grandmas cooking! I had a great server named Alicia. She was very friendly with a great attitude and smile. She brought my drinks and fresh rolls out immediately and took my order. My favorite is their ribs and they have some of the best ribs I’ve had in awhile the meat just falls right off the bone. I’ve never had such great customer service and welcoming staff. I would highly recommend this location for great home style cooking.
My family and I eat here a lot! The food is always good and hot. The cheese broccoli soup has been one of our favorite items forever. We usually get extra to take home as well. I really like all the items ok n the menu and would totally recommend them all.
Not terrible, not great. Was not my choice to go here. Haven't been to a BEP in forever. Our waitress was great but the food was meh. I remember the rolls and cornbread being tastier in the past. You obviously come here for southern food typically fried. I ordered grilled chicken and it was OK. Food is heavy and will sit with you for a while...
Place is short staffed which is understandable. Food quality is not good. Tasted like boxed food, and overcooked food. Received the wrong order. Did not get what I ordered. Was told to wait 14mins for the correct order and did not want to wait.Ordered a BLT Turkey. Presentation was not the best. Bacon overcooked and wheat bread was too hard to eat. Returned the order and did not order further.This place could use Help. Especially a more qualified cook.
Craving corn beef & cabbage all week, so disappointed with the meal I received from here. Meat was not hot, it was pretty dry and got very little cabbage. Had to remind them of drink after meal was already served, place needs a really good cleaning, dust in vents above tables.Per response below, would have helped of wait staff came actually came to table to check on us, this was horrible & deserve a better response then this!
I've been eating here for almost 30 years. Very consistent quality and service. The broccoli cheese and rice casserole is delicious. I always get the chicken fried steak with white gravy. Just needs more black pepper to set it over the top.
Absolutely delicious liver and onions, fried okra, and onion rings. My daughter had the Cajun shrimp with a side of macaroni and cheese. We loved everything we ate. It was fast and friendly service and fairly priced. Good home cooking.
First time eating here and food was great! Family enjoyed ourselves and food was fresh and good! Our waitress was great and staff was very friendly and helpful! Me and family will be coming back. Good food and nice prices!!
