Excellent local restaurant. Pretty busy for a weekday but didn't have to wait for a table and the service was quick and friendly. The french toast was excellent and so was everything else. Check this place out and support a local small business.
Just happened to find this place on our road trip through Colorado. BEST stop ever! Delicious LARGE menu. Friendly attentive staff and terrific food!
Love this cozy little place!! Staff is friendly and breakfast is always good. I recommend the French Toast, either on the side or as a main dish, it never disappoints. Also, you will never see the bottom of your coffee cup. We will keep coming to this place for as long as possible.
I have been a steady customer of this diner for the past 3 years. While it has some of the best green chili in Denver, the service of the staff my past several experiences has ruined this restaurant for me. On my latest and final visit, an exhausted wait staff worked beyond their capacity to serve an over seated dinning room. After checking the counter for my to-go order, I was told by a waitress to take a seat. 40 minutes later, and over an hour I placed the order, I was approached again and asked about my order. As it turned out, my order had been ready since my arrival, and for some reason was placed on the far side of the bar away from all the other to go orders. After being given an quick and insincere apology, I was given my bill with my two room temperature burritos. While the food here is delicious, they have not invested enough in their overworked waitstaff, and I will not be visiting again.
In the area and looking for a good breakfast, and found The Egg. A Fantastic Diner with tasty food, excellent service and huge portions!
Thier food is really good. However I've had multiple issues with takeout where they forget an item. The second time it happened I asked if they could add a $4 sandwich to the order for when I come back and they were not willing to. Which seems like a reasonable request given the situation. I can also understand that they are a small business so I can't fault them too much.Food is really very good.

The food at the egg is delicious. The bacon and sausage were truly flavorful and well done. The eggs were perfectly cooked. And the French toast was just right. The hash browns could be more thoroughly cooked. The waitress was also awesome. So why only four stars? I just didn’t enjoy watching other servers / employees standing by the kitchen eating (it went pretty) while working.
Good breakfast and friendly staff!I had just walked out of a village inn after sitting at the table for 5 minites with no greeting in a 1/3 full house.So happy I chose to eat here instead. Even though the house was packed, there was a friendly face bringing drinks before I was even fully seated! Service was fast and food was delicious!
Friendly staff, reasonably priced, but food was mediocre.Scrambled eggs were extremely overcooked and dry. Biscuits and gravy we're bland and underwhelming. Chicken fried chicken was decent.
