Game Train pays so much attention to detail that you can tell it's a passionate local business. The staff is really friendly and helpful with boardgames, food, and drinks.The place has plenty of space with train themed box cars to play/dine in or tables/booths in the main room.Even the bathrooms are train-themed with large sliding doors and train aesthetics inside.They have a full bar with cocktails and a wide menu of food/drinks. Some of the food is a bit pricey but convenient when you're spending 2-3 hours+ playing board games and socializing.Great experience and glad we can support a local business with a strong pulse.
This place is so cool!! My friend took me while I was visiting from Florida and I would love to see this in Orlando or Tampa! What an awesome concept. We had fun playing games and enjoying cocktails. I wish I could go back!
Highly recommended! They explain the games to you and have such a great variety for all ages. Really nice ambience. Locally owned place. Not a chain. Definitely check it out!
I believe it is so important these days for restaurants and bars to have something unique and special to attract and entice more people to get out. Game Train definitely does. I love it when I see someone’s idea or concept acted on and manifested. I’ve been on few trains and the attention to detail is great. Really looks and feels like you are on a dinner train. Decor and interior design is awesome. Great variety of drinks and food. And if that’s not enough, they have any game you’d want to play. I did a little magic here and the people are great as well as the employees. Family owed and can really tell they love what they do. Wish them all the success and looking forward to going back soon.
This place was a lot of fun. We had a family night with our son and I think we ended up staying for close to 4 hours. Tons of games, everything we played had all the pieces and was in good condition. They also took the time to help you get started with games so you could be playing in a matter of minutes rather than spending a lot of time trying to work through the instructions. The food was better than expected, I expected the food to be okay as this was more of a place to go play games, but clearly the kitchen took pride in what they were serving. The host was good and the girl behind the bar knows how to make a drink. While we did this to have a fun night out with our younger son, there were couples there having a date night, and I would definitely recommend this for a group of adults wanting to get out and have some fun as well.
Our group had a great time. Drinks on point, game list is amazing! The train experience made it unique which added to the overall experience.The food wasn’t that great, and you’re charged almost $0.25 per tater tot if you don’t get the ruffle chips. Don’t recommend the Chicken California. Someone in our part did say their steak sandwich was good and the GT Mac was good though.Excluding that, Someone was there to help walk you thru the games. Both family friendly and adult fun. Service was friendly and helpful.
Very unique place. It's a game store, a coffee shop, a restaurant, AND a bar. They also host interesting events that range from murder mystery parties to wine tastings.It's been a long time since I actively attended D&D events or card game tournaments, but GameTrain has a different atmosphere than most game shops. They seem to be working to make tabletop games accessible to the average person. They want you to take the family over to unplug for an evening and do something more interactive.The place is owned and operated by a family. They are often present, and they are happy to help you understand the rules of whatever game you play.I love that this place exists in my neighborhood because they provide unique experiences that most restaurants simply can't provide.
Really fun experience, waiting for food wasn't a problem since we had board games to play! Tons of games to choose from AND you're even able to buy some if them. Me and my family went during the week so it was pretty much empty. Anyways, great service really fun definitely recommend. Really great food too!
The BEST time. Forget Dinner and a movie or any other date night idea and GO HERE! My wife and I love it. Have an event or a group??? HOST THEM HERE. Amazing Staff. Amazing Venue. Drinks and Food. BEST GAME SELECTION EVER. Just go. You'll be glad you did!
This place is a must-see! The ambiance is absolutely fantastic! What a wonderful way to spend family time and get our kids off of technology! We will definitely be frequent visitors from now on!!
