It’s odd that Lucy doesn’t want to take ownership of her restaurant and goes without the apostrophe ‘S’. Yes, it’s just Lucy Restaurant, not Lucy’s Restaurant. This might be important if you’re entering it into the GPS. Otherwise, we’re not going to fault them for it.The restaurant is attached to Comedy Works South and they share the same entrance. Lucy is just upstairs. Dinner reservations at Lucy Restaurant will get you reserved seating in the first two rows for a comedy show, so I’ve eaten here a few times now. Each time I’ve had a decent meal and a glass of wine. The burger and the salmon seem to be the two best choices for entree. There is not much other than a salad for vegetarians.
The only reason I would eat her again, which probably won’t happen, would be because you can get seated for the comedy show after you dine. Nothing really sounded outstanding, and when our four dishes came out as well as two appetizers, nothing looked very appetizing. I asked her server if there was any oil or butter on the sautéed spinach and she answered my question, I was trying to avoid butter. And my salmon entrée came out smothered in a cream sauce. She just didn’t put two and two together. The salmon was cooked a perfect medium rare, but everything that accompanied it was so so.
The food was okay, not great. We were surprised at the small amount that we received of the protein in our entrees. The staff was kind, and they gave us preferred seating at Comedy Works, so that was nice.
Food is just so good. I had gotten the roasted salmon, cooked to medium doneness. And that was honestly pretty surprising on well the salmon was so beautiful cooked and had such a flacky texture to it. And the potatoes on the bottom were so perfect seasoned and pared well with the salmon. Though I do have to say that the grapefruit sauce was some what off when pared with the rest of the dish, it could honestly be improved to more of a savory sauce to better bring out the salmon.
Had dinner here before a comedy show. The burger was excellent and the staff was very friendly with good service. Great to be able to eat and then go down for the show.
I like to go here before a show @ the Comedy Works. Not a wide selection but decent food. I'd like to see them offer a special for the day or week. Service is very good, prompt and friendly.
The food was absolutely delicious (try the mussels and the burger!) The waitress was awesome I will absolutely be coming back.
We hosted a graduation brunch in one of the private rooms and it was perfect. The decorations were beautiful and the food was delicious. The staff was attentive and accommodating despite being short-staffed this time of year. Highly recommend Lucy for any group dining events!
I can't believe all the good reviews for the food, maybe we were there on an off night, but that was easily some of the worst food I have ever been served. I asked for my burger cooked medium but got a very raw burger, there was also a hair tucked under my lettuce. The waitress and manager were very gracious and replaced my food, unfortunately the burger was still very rare. At that point I just dropped it and ate a few of my fries. My wife's chicken sandwich was still cold, the chicken was extremely hard and seemed like it had been microwaved. The food was atrocious. With that said, the staff was very friendly and the comedy itself was really good. I would say go there, just skip the food. You can get better food at 7-11.
Masks are required to enter until you are at your table. This is fine but management should "practice what they preach". Two wait staffers while all other wait persons were wearing masks correctly one female waiter and one male qaiter were wearing the as "chin diapers" . No noses covered the female wait person face wasn't covered af all as her mask was around her neck.Food is margin at best. One person jn our party had a pasta dish, pasta under cooked and stucktogether bland flavor. My burger was close to a Wendy's burger. Our wait person was extremely slow from drink order through our getting our dinners. Will not return to this restaurant. Poor service, food, and drinks. Also, it was very hot inside the restaurant and when a person in our party asked if they could turn up the A/C our waiter offered to bring him some ice...really?Lousy place to eat, skip this restaurant and just gj to the Comedy Club!
