Food was good. Took 90 minutes to get our breakfast, chorizo and eggs for me and an omelette for my sister. Be patient and the food is worth it but if you're traveling (we were) might find something quicker
This place is fantastic! We stormed in with a group of 9 on a Tuesday morning and were seated almost immediately. Coffees and waters were kept full by outstanding service that was attentive but never pestering. The food was excellent too. Everything was correct per the order and tasted great. This was definitely one of the best breakfast experiences I've had in a long while, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a classic diner experience.
Service was great, food was good BUT, the potatoes were undercooked and now Im sure the eggs for my omelet were rotten. I thought it smelled funny when I took a bite, but I am recovering from a stressful trip and there is a weird smell at my hotel so I thought I was just sensitive. However, I had to rush back to my hotel room - I barely made it to the bathroom where I am writing this review. I didnt tell my server because by the time I realized my omelet was bad, I had already eaten it. She was great and I didnt want to complain when there would be nothing she could do. Hopefully this doesnt reflect normal practices at this diner, but it was worth noting here. Great service, good coffee but maybe the cook was having a bad day.
Good food and great service!
Randy's is, as diners go, pretty good. They have a great selection of food, generous portions, and friendly staff. The food itself is often quite good.I've enjoyed their breakfast burrito on a number of occasions. French toast isn't my thing, but the missus has said it's solid; not particularly standing out compared to other places, but good. Most of their other breakfast fare is, too, with one exception that I've noted.I ordered pancakes one time and was disappointed. They were "blueberry" in that they did contain some blueberries, but it was a paltry amount. On top of that, the pancakes were quite "rubbery" (for lack of a better word). Mediocre at best, but it could have been a flook.Don't get me wrong, Randy's is a decent enough place. If you love classic diner food, go here over any of the big chains in town, unless you want pancakes. It won't be the best food you've ever had (if it is, you should get out more), but it is often quite tasty and satisfying.I recommend them.
Great local diner chain. They have 3 locations around the valley. They do what they do very well, a greasy spoon diner with excellent service. My main haunt is the Clifton location and this was our first time at the north Ave location. Food is consistent at both locations, and the service is great here too!
By far some of the best breakfast I’ve ever had. We were traveling through western Colorado and stopped in Grand Junction for the night. The next morning, we ate at Randy’s. Did not disappoint in the slightest. BEST French toast I’ve ever had (ordered the stuffed French toast), and the other breakfast fare we ordered was excellent also. All of this, with great service to boot! If we’re ever in Grand Junction again, I will most certainly be back.
Very disappointing as I actually love this place. Asked my server for water three times and never got it. Also, ordered eggs Benedict and hollandaise had separated. I get it, hollandaise is hard. But when it’s clearly separated, don’t bring it to the table. Also, it was not busy at all, so no reason for shoddy food and service. Total waste of money and a morning
Had a waitress that was more interested in telling other about her dogs than helping us. Asked for coffee several times. She never did. Finally another waitress got us coffee. Not happy with the service. Food was great though.
Had a late Breakfast here today, Eggs Benedict for my wife and Southside breakfast Burrito for myself. Welcoming staff from the moment we walked thru the door. Friendly attentive service, my wife's Coffee cup was kept full and my soda too. Food was served Hot and fast. Restaurant was very clean. It was our first time eating here but definitely won't be our last.
