This used to be one of our favorites in a town with a reputation for poor restaurants. It stood way above the rest. Sad to say it just keeps getting worse. I think Maria has lost interest and only pays attention to her other restaurant. The sauces used to be unique, not the ordinary Mexican flavors, but better and more authentic. But that and everything else seems to be put together fast and carelessly. If you want good service, ask for LuLu, otherwise mediocre at best. Given how high prices have gotten in restaurants, it is a waste of money to eat here.
Food was cold and burnt, a real savory mix. Relleno cheese was solid, which was nasty. We also got an omelette which was burnt and toast that came with it was bread pulled off of a recycled grilled cheese sandwich . It was a terrible meal all around and the service was not much better. The bathrooms were also nasty…we will not go back.
We like this place and the food is good…but the wait time are ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. We waited for 1hr and 10 minutes to get breakfast. Seriously??? Won’t be coming back anymore! And this isn’t the 1st time for these waits.
Normally a 4 or 5 star review but last night the food was so bland, the green Chile had no flavor or kick to it. When the chips and salsa and guacamole are the best part of dinner it is not my idea of a pleasant experience? Also we had to ask for water refills and more chips and those two things should always be watched more carefully by the servers,etc.
If you want to practice your high school Spanish, they won’t laugh at you! Or when you order green chil-là (chili) on your omelette they know what you mean. You better come hungry. This Spanish American style restaurant has LARGE portions. You will not leave here disappointed.

I order two large pozole and that’s fine but I need cabbage and cilantro and onions that come with I need them now so that will be enough. Being I’m not eating in there were going home it’s not like I can ask for more extra I received only one order very little cilantro onion and cabbage after the waitress in sure me after asking her again don’t get me wrong I eat at this place quite a bit , food is great after calling back Maria was wanting to send me another pozole intil that I was charged for one order thing change to well we you come back in she will give me free of charge the point is I needed two order and the fixings then. I love food but if I can’t trust to get my order right when ordering off the back it does me no good so I will never order to go . But then again this is the reason I don’t order to go because it’s 90% wrong or cold now my favorite Mexican food is also in the % . I’ll never go in for the free order because I travel there in the snow to get it . I would have paid for the second order if they brought it I would have given a five star for food but customer service 2 me I would have made it right to keep my customer sorry you lost a good customer Now I have to find another place because I don’t need some later I needed it nowI not tell you not to go. just this was my bad experience the other one eating there were good
Service is slow to assist. I sat down and some lady came by and just dropped chips at the table and dismissed even ask if I wanted something to drink. I sat there for 15 minutes before someone helped me get a drink after several attempts to get the attention of anyone. Let it be known, u was sitting first table across from the bar.Food was bland, chili Verde had no flavor but the meat was soft. Beans tasted like they were from a can and rice needed something. For the value, it was not bad.
Good service, breakfast is really good and the atmosphere is warm and pleasant, a good family place.
Great food and reasonable prices;service was okay; we had three different dishes 2 were excellent one was okay to good; not a large restaurant so I recommend making reservations although we had no wait even though we were walk ins
