My wife and I ordered via door dash since we are staying the night at a hotel as we pass through. I fee like the food would have been much better if we were there. We ordered a mid tempura appetizer, 5 sushi rolls and a chicken katsu curry. The shrimp tempura in the appetizer and the roll were both under cooked. The shrimp was still translucent. Needed 2 more minutes frying. The veggies for the tempura were okay a sliver of sweet potato, one piece of broccoli and about 5 onion petals. My last curry was good. I got more chicken than I though I would. The curry sauce had a bit of spice to it but was oily and very thin. I was also surprised that it wasn’t served with katsu sauce. The sushi was okay but they only gave us 3 packs of soy sauce for 5 rolls plus tempura. So if you wanna give this place a try go eat there and don’t get it delivered.
I always love coming to Kuniko's. The staff is super friendly, the food is absolutely amazing and it has such a cozy atmosphere. Hands down one of my favorite places to go out to eat!
Just went here for the first time. Cute little spot, the team works hard for the people on a busy Friday night. Food was great, we had beef Dom and added veggies, and a couple sushi rolls and a beer. They give you a little cabbage salad included. It does get hectic for the servers but everywhere is short staffed these days, maybe wouldn't go if you're in a hurry but they are really nice!
The food was excellent. Recommend the teriyaki chicken and ask them to make it spicy soooo good.
Decided to try this place out cuz i love sashimi and like trying different places. We have quite a few sushi places here in town.Unfortunately the sashimi here didnt taste fresh at all and i was shorted on my to go order.... I ordered 8 peices of sashimi, got home and there was only 5 pieces, still frozen with browning on the edges and bad fish odor??...Inaccurate and not fresh.?
I sincerely hate leaving negative reviews but I feel like our experience at Kuniko’s tonight warrants it. We’re just driving through on our way from Los Angeles back to Minneapolis, so we placed an order for takeout given all the great reviews that Kuniko’s has. To put it bluntly, the items we received were all pretty gross. We ordered a variety of rolls and nigiri, and all of them were tasteless. Many of the items seemed like they had been prepared hours earlier—soggy, falling apart, and worst of all… pungently fishy smelling! The fishy smell is a big red flag. To be fair, we ate some of the food and it served its purpose of sustaining us for the drive, but this was definitely not the delicious and freshly prepared meal that the reviews implied we’d be getting.
sooo good!! the atmosphere was so comforting, and the food was quick and delicious! definitely recommend to people looking to try fried sushi.
Kuniko's offers a small casual atmosphere, and excellent food at a good price. Dishes are the traditional Japanese fare, with Sushi, Udon, etc. on the menu. Alcoholic beverages are limited to the three major Japanese beer brands, Coors light, and a selection of wines. Highly recommended if you want a good, solid, satisfying meal.
Spent $50 for two and we are both hungry... Two entrees and an app. Our meals tasted very plain...:( Recommend going somewhere else :(
Very good food! Small place but the food is tasty and not greasy. Freshly prepared.
