I booked a stay with this hotel weeks before our arrival. I'm a Gold Elite member with IHG and haven't ever had any issues with one of their hotels.......until this past week. Our flight was delayed, as is expected right now, and we didn't arrive in Denver until about midnight. We were scheduled to check in earlier in the day. I looked up my reservation when I got to my rental car so I could get the address for directions and noticed it wasn't showing in my app. I called the hotel and was informed my reservation had been cancelled by the hotel staff. They attempted to run the credit card on my profile, which was expired for about 2 years, and cancelled my reservation when it didn't clear. I admit I could have updated my profile but I stay at IHG hotels many times in a year and typically arrive late in the evening or around midnight. I have never had a hotel cancel my reservation in a period of about 7-8 years. Additionally, the hotel did not attempt to call, text or email about the credit card. Needless to say, I did not stay at this hotel because they booked my room for someone else and they were sold out.

I usually always choose to stay at holiday Inn express. This holiday Inn was the worse one I have ever stayed. The main light was out in the bathroom so it was very hard to see. There was black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The Hotel had no electricity for half the night, I sleep with a c-pap so i didn't get any sleep. The next morning there was no hot water when I took a shower. I notified Christie who was working the front desk about the issues, she was rude and unpoligetic. She offered no solutions to rectify any of the problems I had encountered. Christie was very uninterested in anything I told her. I will never stay there again and recommend that no-one else does either. There is a Hampton Inn next door and I wish I would have chosen to stay there. I payed $268.00 dollars for this room and I feel like I was ripped off.

So over all my stay was pretty good . Check in was a little slow and the lady was a little rude seemed new. Beds were pretty comfortable, the water pressure was great and hot . The room was pretty clean . I could hear the people above me walking , the ac sounded like a wind tunnel every time it came on and our tv decided to have a blue screen couldn’t watch. I mentioned this to front desk same lady she was rude when I mentioned it to her and she was like ok what do u want me to do basically I’m letting you know the tv is going out like really . The breakfast wasn’t good at all bananas weren’t even ripe and there was no coffee and it was very crowded. The elevators were slow and the lighting behind the building was horrible and no parking in the front cause a semi wanted to take up all the parking. I would prob stay here again even with the minor issues for the most part it was pretty clean and quiet .

Danielle was very attentive and polite! She greeted right when I walked in and helped me change my reservation. She was friendly and patient throughout the process. I love holiday inn express! The rooms are nice and breakfast is good! Every time I travel, I look for a holiday inn express.

We had really good service at the front counter. They have suites that can sleep five/six people which makes it perfect for most families. Parking was bad when we stayed. One of two elevators running.

I wouldn’t stay again. Our room wasn’t clean, there weren’t any towels, the shampoo was empty and the pull out couch was busted stuck half way out.The staff was very kind and accommodating. If it wasn’t for them it would have been 2 stars.

I stayed at this property the first week of April,2021, for 5 days. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. This stay, the first week of October,2021, was different. NO hot tub, NO NO NO hot breakfast. Room service was non existent. Making up a room consisted of straightening up the bed, NOT replacing the sheets. Totally deceptive. Will return to Golden soon but not to this poorly managed property. Shameful.

I went to Denver on7/21/21 stayed until 7/26/21 average 94 degrees pool was open first and last day it was closed due to maintenance .Not great if you are hiking all day asked for manger they told me he would be in tomorrow every day same story. No hot breakfast even though though they advertise it on there web site. My sister works for IHG in a different state. I called her and she said they serve hot breakfast. Every night I came back to hotel around 5PM in front of lobby outside garbage was overflowing on the floor. my brother in law who lives in Denver asked if I was staying in a Motel 6. Ruined mine and my wife's trip. when I got home I called IHG multiple times on hold for hours left my phone number no call back. I tried to write a review on there web page. They would not except it they said language was not good. same review as this one. I left my number on the web page and asked them to call me. No response.

Just a lot of little things that added up to a disappointing 2 night stay. I had reserved 2 nights, 1 with points, 1 with IHG Platinum Anniversary certificate. Upon check-in, front desk clerk said I was only booked for one night, had to tell her I had two nights, she then found in system, minor annoyance. At check in I also informed it was "grab and go" breakfast, no explanation why though. Next morning though an employee said it was due to staffing issues. I can understand, but don't advertise a "hot" breakfast on website/booking and then do a switch-a-roo upon check-in. On to the room. The bathroom needed some serious TLC. The caulking around the bathtub had mildew and there was black mold on the shower walls/ceiling. Gross. There was also a small couch in the room that had to very large basketball sized stains on them that I can only imagine was from a pet using them as urine pads. Needless to say I didn't use the couch for anything. The A/C in the room also need maintenance. Throughout the night it would make a large rattling sound that made it difficult to get a good night sleep. Finally, on the 2nd night after returning later in the night, my room key wouldn't work and had to go back downstairs from the 3rd floor to front desk to get corrected, another minor annoyance that added up to make this stay not pleasant. Overall, I would have to say this was my least impressive stay at a Holiday Inn Express in my travels

I came out to the Golden, Colorado to work during the day and then bike in the evenings. The hotel is nice and it is super convenient, but the WIFI is not usable from my room. If you are planning on working from this hotel then you may have problems. I have worked with technical support 3 days in a row trying to fix the problem, but they have been unable to do so.From a technical perspective the WIFI connectivity from my room had the following characteristics:* 20%+ packet loss when pinging 8.8.8.8* 0.2 Mbps Down* Ping times to 8.8.8.8 that were > 500msWhile in the lobby the packet loss goes to less than 1% and the ping times are less than 10ms in general. The technical support team did increase my download rate and in the lobby I can get over 20 Mbps down consistently.
