Great little cafe and coffee shop near the Genesee and Lookout Mountain exit on I-70 in the Colorado foothills. They have a great trick of heating the coffee cup if you are dining in so that your coffee stays hot longer. Super friendly and locally owned by the same family for many years. One of my faves:)
Local coffee shop with best breakfast option, I had garlic bagel which was really taste. I would recommend it
Absolutely loved our experience here. Everyone that worked there was incredibly friendly.Food was excellent, my toddler ate an entire cinnamon roll. I tried the reeces cup latte and omg so glad I did. It tastes just as good as it looks. Panini had great fresh food finely matched together to create a wonderful taste sensation.I was super surprised to find a toddler friendly bathroom, they have a seat minimizer!!! Also the bathroom was extremely clean ?This spot is a gem!! And we will definitely be coming back when we are in or near Genesee
Very friendly staff. Got a Cinnamon roll Frappuccino and a salted caramel and vanilla iced coffee. Very sweet but delicious coffees at a very reasonable price
Great little coffee shop with awesome breakfast! It was a little warm inside but I understand it's difficult to regulate indoor temps in the spring. The staff were super nice! I had the avocado toast and it was delish. The kids enjoyed the Mexican hot chocolate. It's not spicy.
Best little secret in Genesee! I love eating breakfast and lunch here. The staff is so friendly and the food is always fresh and delicious. If you are on your way up to the mountains, make sure to stop for a breakfast burrito, homemade pastries, and great lattes! Try the white chocolate, lavender if you want a daring & dreamy flavor! They also have cute little local gifts for out of town guests.
Great food and service … interesting about the mask stuff which is genuinely confusing- are you supposed to wear one or bot? No a mask is harmful for your immune system by lowering/limiting your oxygen levels additionally the moisture from your breath is a great place for bacteria to grow which affects your teeth and heart and everything in between… just my thoughts but it’s your job to have a strong immune system so be careful when the people you’re listening to start switching up their advice
It’s been several months now since this happened but I think about all the time and think I should leave a review. These people are insane.I was a regular customer for 4-5 months. Didn’t have a mask with me one day after the mandate went back into effect. Even though the day before, the owner (that I would see 2-3x week regularly) served me didn’t care at all that didn’t have one, this time when I walked in I was literally screamed at by his wife/co-owner(?). They had a box of masks, I put one on to finish ordering, was not rude whatsoever and then went outside to wait for my food on the patio. I ordered my regular, a sandwich with no mayo. Long story short, they purposely brought out a sandwich with mayo and when I said “excuse me I’m really sorry but I asked for no mayo, could you please remake this?” The owner said “sure”. 30 seconds later he returned with the exact same sandwich with a giant condiment cup overflowing with mayo on the side. I didn’t know at the time if he was being passive aggressive or was genuinely confused so I went back in to find out. After being screamed at again as a bunch of nervous customers and their poor young employee watched with sympathy they told me “Since you couldn’t read the sign on the door about the masks, we assumed you couldn’t read the menu either so you must’ve ordered wrong.”I told them I just wanted to get a refund and leave and he first refused to refund me and insisted she was making me a new, correct one now. I said I didn’t want it because I was afraid of her spitting in it at that point and then he angrily yelled in my face about how they run a professional business. Thankfully he ended up just throwing $10 at me from the register and I left. I see from some of their other reviews on here that this isn’t the first time something like this has happened with them. I would highly recommend grabbing your coffee somewhere else.
The Buffalo Moon Cafe is a great stopping place for a break on our drive to Blackhawk. My wife and I enjoy the paninis, (we highly recommend) A small but friendly place.Buffalo MoonRecommendation, try adding a Cuban sandwich to your menu.
