We had a fantastic dining experience at Mayor of Old Town. The pretzel appetizers were great with the brown mustard and beer cheese. The beer selection was excellent with several dozen beers on tap. Mac-n-cheese was on point and has that special spicy kick with the hatch chile peppers. Chicken tenders were solid and the buttermilk ranch was tasty. Beer battered fries were the MVP of the meal. The Colorado Cubano was good but a bit dry, and I'd recommend getting some extra sauce on the side. This place has something for everyone. Everyone in my party loved it. Wonderfully creative foods! The What the Schnitzel is an absolutely outrageous amalgamation of flavors and influence. Ba'corn is a cheesy delicious mess of a sharable, and the selection of local brews and mixological wonders is totally on point. Service is Top notch, JT is awesome! Top of the list of Fort Collins eateries!
The Mayor is certainly a fine place, but now next door is The Back Door Grill, and holy cow, there is no comparison. And you can tell it by just comparing the crowds at the two places. The Back Door specializes in unique hamburgers, has a great deck for watching sports or whatever, great service. I will still continue to go to The Mayor when it is too packed to get into The Back Door, because it always has seating available.
Super food!!! Onion rings were excellent!!! We all tried very different things - the Cuban Sandwich, a French Dip, and Street Tacos - All delicious!!! Tried their craft sodas - fun treat!
Ooooooh! This was a great find! This place was very convenient to walk to from our Airbnb, and I wish we had come in more than once! Luckily, our daughter will be going to CSU so we will have a chance to try more of the items offered. The vibe in this restaurant is fun... kind of reminded me of the 70s with a modern twist? This place is perfect for beer lovers - so many options! Our server, JT, was amazing. He offered to bring me samples of 2 different beers I asked about, and his input was helpful in my decision. I also took his advice about what to order, and I loved my meal! The beef stroganoff over cavatappi was absolutely delicious! My family members also enjoyed their food choices. JT checked in with us about our food often, and was always available to refill our water. This place is most definitely worth a visit while you are in town!
Quite literally the best restaurant in town. It has a very impressive menu with good beers to support it. Customer service is the best you could ever ask for. It's become my weekly go to since it has the perfect hours as well. Nothing could be better.Forgot to add, been going here since I was 15 for the food. Even through the pandemic and all, it is still awesome!
Best beer selection in Fort Collins! Quality and selection of food is also phenomenal! Avery is very knowledgeable about all the brews on tap and will not steer you wrong in choosing a beer that fits your taste. Never a bad pour at The Mayor!
I can recommend their Rail Hand burger. It really hits the spot.Great modern interior design, friendly and attentive staff and an extensive bear menu pair well with a tasty, inexpensive menu.

Staff is super kind, knowledgeable, and attentive (I never saw the bottom of my glass, whether beer or water). Great ambiance, so many beer options (there's something for everyone!), yummy food, and did I mention the staff is awesome? Food is super well executed and portions are generous, and ranges from a vegan burger to a beet salad. Always a perfect experience!
