I’ve heard this place was amazing. I beg to differ. Given the option to be seated at a table or the bar And a response of Im indifferent, I was immediately seated at the worst possible table, the one exiting the kitchen. It took nearly 7 minutes before I was asked about drinks and brought water. No big deal as it was busy but the place wasn’t very large, seating less than 50 people.I had a cup of coffee. There was only one option for cream and only white sugar and stevia for the sugar option.I ordered biscuits and gravy with one egg, over medium. My dish came out quickly, but that is expected since it’s already cooked, minus the egg. My first impression of the gravy and presentation wasn’t anything special and I immediately noticed a piece of shell in clear view on the improperly and undercooked egg (which melted into the rest of the dish almost immediately. (Over medium is cooked on both sides of the egg and the yoke should be comparable to a jammy custard or ever so slightly runny. This egg was over easy at best) The biscuits were dry and the gravy had very minimal flavor, although the pepper came through easily. I’ve honestly had better biscuits and gravy at Carls Junior. My server was good, but I believe he probably knew I was writing a review considering they seemed to congregate immediately behind me in the kitchen. There was nothing amazing or exceptional about this breakfast place. Save your money and opt for one of the other 350 other places in Fort Collins.
RISE! is definitely a must try! Everything I have tried on their well versed menu is delicious and service is excellent. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a great breakfast experience.
Go for the great food and stay to be entertained by Marilyn. Marilyn hustles around the restaurant making sure everyone feels welcome and is enjoying the delicious items on the menu. This items on the menu offer a nice variety and it is one of the few restaurants that I really want to go back and try other offerings. Our meals were fresh & wonderful!
I've never had a disappointing meal at Rise! The Hazeldell Mushroom Hash is my standby but it can be really hard to make up your mind between sweet and savory, old standbys and seasonal additions to the menu. yesterday, the Roast Artichoke Benedict did not disappoint and the hollandaise topped with balsamic reduction was the perfect comfort food.
RISE has such awesome food. Every time I come down here from Wyoming, it makes the trip all worth while. Definitely recommend this place to whoever needs a good breakfast joint.
The food, flavor, and presentation were all 10/10! I will for sure be returning here in the future to try more of their food. However, their service was alright. It took about 20 minutes to receive the check after all our dishes were taken away, and the restaurant was about half full at the time.
Hands down my favorite breakfast spot. Always a new scone to try always a great breakfast and amazing service. This is my go to for breakfast or brunch always. Plus the mimosas and drinks are awesome ♡
Easy to get to location, with plenty of parking (always a plus in my book). Honestly, I really am not a big fan of their decor/interior, but the staff is very attentive and very hard-working. They are friendly but quick and professional. the menu/food is what’s really amazing. Very creative menu items. Normally I always get the same breakfast whenever I go out, no matter where I go. This place makes me want to try some thing new and be excited about it. Really fair prices, too. I would definitely go here again and would recommend to friends/family.
This is my favorite breakfast place. I consider myself a cinnamon roll connoisseur. I have eaten cinnamon rolls all over Fort Collins, and Rise has the best cinnamon rolls in town...no question. Don't let those other large, "well-known" cinnamon rolls pull you astray.I wish I would have taken a pic of my plate today because it was beautiful, but I ate it too fast. Looking at my empty plate, I'm full and perfectly happy. I had their Salmon Cake Benedict special, every bite was heaven. They care about both taste and presentation here.We always seem to get Marilyn as our server. She is always sweet as pie and clearly cares about the service she provides. It's hard to find people that are genuinely kind. She is always a pleasure. Thanks Marilyn! As long as the doors are open, we will be there! There are restaurants with cooks and restaurants with a true chef...the latter is true in this case.
I was famished after driving four hours from Wyoming to take my husband into surgery in horrible weather. I found this gem of a bistro online close to our surgery center. At first the negative reviews turned me off until I looked at the profiles of the reviewers who leave ONLY negative reviews. The food and vibe are exceptional for the price! I had the Florentine frittata which was substantial and delicious. The best part of the experience was my service. Marilyn made me laugh (as she did with every table in her station) and I so wanted to go out for a drink with her!! The place was packed despite a dangerous black ice parking lot! I’ll be back for more!!
