You can always count on Moe’s for delicious fresh food. Now on Friday’s they have walleye fish, a Midwest fish loved by so many people, including me. ?
I never bother to give positive reviews but these guys deserve it. The brisket, in particular, is probably my favorite in town and definitely is for the price. They often have Scrump's local cider on tap, too. Sides look good, too, though I haven't tried them because I have an unusual amount of allergies/food intolerances.
I tried to order takeout over the phone to avoid the 3rd party delivery companies and save myself and the restaurant some money. I called 4 times from my phone and 4 times from my wife's phone and no one answered. We had just returned from a road trip and were putting things away so at one point I just let it ring for 2 minutes while I did dishes.I finally ordered through grubhub for pickup. Their Grubhub menu was incomplete since there was not a listing for cornbread and their webpage listed it as an option, something that could have been navigated over the phone. I made my order and went to pick it up. There were 2 employees working. Employee A, had my order ready and asked if I needed anything else. I asked if they had cornbread. She said they did. I said, there wasn't any listed on the grubhub menu and that I had tried to call several times. She seemed genuinely shocked and asked me to call again to test their phone. It rang. She apologized. I added cornbread and waited while she prepared it. At that point Employee B came out of the back, Employee A told her I had tried to call several times. I heard this. Employee B without looking at me again, responded to A and they both laughed about it.I understand it might be easier or preferable if only online orders come in and staff did not have to answer the phone, but it is not good business. The food was solid. Although, they don't seem to remove the membrane from the back of their ribs before preparation, leaving a paper-like film that adds no flavor, and affects texture. Not, worth commenting on typically but sort of an amateur move. We spent $80 to feed a family of 3. I typically cook my own ribs on Sunday, but my smoker is down and we had just returned from a road trip. Frankly I can spend my money better in the future. Won't be back. Ever. After another observation I made on my way out, I have come to the conclusion that they are cutting corners at every angle, which makes me concerned for details I might not have noticed.I am sure they will continue to do OK considering their location, and many people visiting in Old Town just want simple no frills BBQ. It will serve that function. For me it's not worth the 5 minute drive from my house.Only reason I didn't give 1 star is because the food was solid, membrane aside.
Moes is one of my favorite places to go and eat. Food is Excellent and service is always Top notch.
I went here with my father last night. It used to be a really good place to eat but, it's changed. They must have changed owners because, it wasn't like this a few years back. The pulled pork I got was very dry...hard to chew... my father didn't care for the chicken. I asked the counter person what I could do at home to make it not dry and he gave me a container full of whatever that was. Anyways, it's not Moe's anymore. Oh, and not 1 employee was wearing a mask. I had my mask on. I would summarize by saying... don't go here lol..
Attended a private Christmas Dinner and the food was definitely delicious. Superb brisket! I hid my take home box so no one else would get it. That good. One star for plastic cutlery and paper plates. The real stuff would up the entire experience.

Went for a packers game thinking it would be packed. I think only 4 or 5 fans came in and out. Didn’t have the bar vibes we were hoping for. The food was ok. Nice staff. I wouldn’t seek this place out again. But I wouldn’t turn it down if someone wanted to meetup there.
