The wait staff was super friendly and awesome. I don't eat pork, my brisket smelled and tasted like pork. I was definitely not a fan of the cornbread, it tasted like they poured maple syrup on it, it did taste better after I put jalapeno on it. My son loved his burger even though we asked for it to be medium rare it was very well done, and they forgot to put the guac on, but tasted okay. The fries were really good with a lot of seasoning.
Wow, food amazing, as usual. Had the blackened catfish meal for Father's Day lunch. Tons of food, including the catfish, gumbo, red beans & rice, and hush puppies. All was excellent! Server was up to her neck in tables (I counted at least 12) but made sure to check in often. She was better than 99% of the servers put there! It may be a little dark inside, but don't let that fool you, their Cajun & BBQ food is always on point!
This review has been a long time coming. Kind of crazy to think of how often I went here and I just never reviewed it. We would go as a group of varying sizes every Thursday evening. This has finally stopped unfortunately, but we had a good run with guys coming and going over the years as we graduated from approximately 2012-2020 (the rona ?).We were all knew by name and treated in such a kind and considerate way that is near impossible to find in foco. I have no bad experiences to share in the dozens of times I have been. Whether you went for the weekend brunch, packed special nights, or in the middle of the week, it was simply exceptional and comfortable.The chili cheese fries were my personal favorite. And I have to say, I was legitimately heartbroken to have gone back a couple of months ago to eat one last time before I moved away and found that it was gone. However, there are numerous options that are worth trying. Anytime I am ever back in Fort Collins, I will be back here ❤️Thank you for the years of memories and food
Phenomenal buyer! Best I've had in Fort Collins! Loved it. Had redheads and rice for a side and that was outstanding as well. Fantastic service too! Highly recommended this place! Two thumbs up!
This is my favorite place in the city!! It is a typical dive bar in appearance, but the food is amazing! Where else can you get good drink specials, a great burger, tasty wings, really good barbecue AND a spot-on gumbo? (And, I’m from Louisiana.) I have never had a mediocre item here; everything on the menu is delicious. Definitely start with the gumbo, but leave room for the waffle sundae for dessert.
The ribs are quite hot spicy. I had to trade my burger with my wife since she can't eat that much spicy. The gumbo was great it had some heat as you expect. The cornbread was lackluster greasy and tasted like old oil. I added brisket to my burger and it was pretty good. It had a old bar vibe (in a good way). We might be back but are going to be a little more selective of what we eat.
Incredible food. Got the shrimp basket and the shrimp were huge and perfectly fried. Seasoning on the fries is amazing. Great service. Can't wait to come back again!
I really dig this place and love the mix of food they offer - BBQ and Cajun! It's small so it has a neighborhood feel to it. They do have a nice front patio. And they offer a decent selection of local beers.
Best burger I ever had here! The Smokehouse Burger came with the heat and the fries were super crispy. The strawberry lemonade cocktail wasn't very good, but I'd definitely come back here again.
Hands down the best local food in Fort collins. Being born and raised in Colorado I never really had much Cajun food before discovering this gem of a restaurant. Now I crave it constantly! No other colorado made cajun food Ive ever had has measured up. I look forward to coming here at least twice a month for our date nights and have never left disappointed or still hungry. Always satisfied to the fullest. The Cooks are amazing, the wait staff are wonderful, the bartenders are awesome, and the food is immaculate. Thanks mo jeaux for being so delicious- every single time ?
