I love it here. I come here with my best friend all the time and recently brought my boyfriend (He's Japanese). The food here has always been amazing and I come here as much as possible. The owner takes such good care of me and whoever I bring. I've been wanting to bring my boyfriend here for some time now and when I finally did he said the food hit so close to home. He said it reminded him of his mother's cooking. My boyfriend and the owner got along so well. It's a really great environment. Nice, calm and just really cozy. It's really welcoming when you walk in!
This is such a great little place! The food is truly exceptional while being quite healthy at the same time. Give the spicy chicken bowl a try if you stop by. I live in Northern Colorado now, but every time I'm in the tech center around lunch time I make a point to stop here.
Went there today and my experience was phenomenal. While the interior is pretty no frills (plain tables with no condiments) the menu seems interesting. You order the counter, but the service is great.I ended up getting the spicy ramen and it was the best I've ever had. I will certainly be back again in the future.
Hidden gem! Small Family run restaurant. Delicious, quick and tasty cuisine. Offers free hot tea with your meal.
Absolutely fantastic. We ordered the bento box salmon, and the super (beef and chicken). Food was ready in 15 minutes and everything was FANTASTIC. 10/10 recommend.
Great food! I ordered the large chicken bowl spicy thinking I would save some fore later and ended up eating it all because it was so tasty. Dont forget to order a side of kimchi
I really hate that I'm compelled to write this review, because the food was so good. I went in because I was having my tires replaced across the street during a snow storm. The food was rather expensive, $24 for beef with curry, gyoza and a soda. While the food was outstanding, I was totally caught off guard when the man that runs the place asked me to leave after I finished my meal. It was starting to get busy, but not busy enough to warrant kicking me out into a snowstorm while I waited for an Uber. I went back to wait at the tire shop so I wasn't in any danger or anything, but it was just... who in the world does that? Very disappointed. I wanted to make Sakura Bowl a new lunch spot since I work nearby. But never again, that was such a rude gesture to a paying customer. I'll never go back.
The beef Nube ramen here is the best I’ve had in Denver! It has the perfect spice, the beef is fantastic (not flubery), noodles are perfectly cooked and there’s no “fishy” miso flavor. Get it mild, it still has a spicy kick at that level without being overwhelmingly hot. Love this place!
On their door they have signage that says good food. In truth they are average food for an average price. I hit them during they lunch hour and they were busy. I had a 25 min wait for the food and I can understand that with the crowd they had. At the same time I learned a crowd does not equal good food. I ordered the chicken bento and got a tofu bento for my mom. The best part of my meal was the miso soup and they did not give enough sauce for the gyoza. My mom actually said that she would only give them two stars on her food. Won't be going back with better food options near by.
We came mid-afternoon after bike ride. I got a spicy pork bowl and she got a shrimp bowl. It was really quiet and weird for the next 10 minutes to hear exactly our food being prepared in the back, and then the cook / cashier brought our food to the table. The spice on my pork was perfect and I liked the green peppers, but I wasn't fan of the cabbage under the meat. I would have preferred more veggies of some other kind, but my wife said the cabbage gave her nice memories of when she lived in Asia. She liked her shrimp bowl, but the tails were still on the shrimp. There was complimentary black tea, but it tasted like hot water to me. The prices were reasonable, and the dining area in bathroom were clean. The staff person notably used hand sanitizer and wore a face mask.
