Yum! Great menu. Great staff.Great environment. My brother and I visited. We loved the house chips and both ordered the chicken reuben. Wow!I had the side salad, which comes with a good dressing. My brother enjoyed his black cherry soda, which came from a local company.Very cool! I highly recommend.
The blue chop salad was my favorite thing on the menu but the last few times the lettuce hasn’t been good and figured it was an off day so I ordered it again today but no change. It’s translucent and brown. Still love that they put plenty of toppings on it tho.Update: currently feeling sick
I love the Chop Shop. Bacon wrapped meatloaf is one of the only things that's made me break my meat free streak lately.
My family said I had to post a review of this place. This was our first time here, and it was amazing. I got the Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf which I loved, and others in the family had the burger which was super juicy and flavorful. The fries are really good as well. Staff is very friendly. Highly recommended, and can't wait until we go back.
Great spot for good food, awesome patio, and cool menu options. The crispy chicken polenta is fantastic and my usual go to. Today I ordered the grilled chicken pesto sandwich with fries. I really liked it, the hoagie style roll with the pesto chicken is a perfect combination. The chop salad is also a great option. We got the Brussels sprouts appetizer to share and we loved it- very crispy which I like. The soda fountain has craft sodas that are pretty decent. Definitely worth stopping in to eat or order as take out.
This place really blew me away. My wife found it. When we got there it just seemed like a simple counter serve place....but the menu did not match that assumption. Kimchi?? Grilled Salmon? ShortRib? Wow. I had the chicken pastrami sandwich, with the southwestern slaw. Best sandwich I had in awhile. Even the chips were incredible - we couldn't determine what the flavor profile was. I had a side salad - incredibly fresh greens and a dressing that was unlike any dressing I had ever tasted. If you're looking for a quick, casual place with food that seems like it would be in a place that you'd need a reservation a week in advance, this is the place. Great service, too.
This place is usually pretty good. I’ve tried most entrees (that don’t have bacon) and they always have a unique flavor that is great in concept.Unfortunately I’ve had quite a few misses from here too. For one the burger is not so great. It’s similar to Larkburger in concept but the execution is nowhere near as good. This most recent visit asked for medium well and got a charred patty on the outside, but on the inside it was medium well on one half and medium rare on the other. The bun was stale/dry as well. If you want this kind of burger I’d highly recommend Larkburger instead, with the exception of the veggie burger. Chop Shop’s veggie burger is very good and there’s nothing like anywhere else I know of.Another time I ordered achiote salmon and it had way too much glaze. The Mediterranean grilled chicken was very tasty and I’ll probably order it again. Brussels Sprouts are very good and the parmesan fries are great. Chicken pastrami was also very good. I’ve had a few other things that are no longer on the menu like the bistro filet which were also really good.I definitely recommend trying Chop Shop, but I do feel like having been there so many times that the quality might be slipping and because they change up the menu some of my absolute favorites are gone so I never know what to order. On the one hand I look forward to trying new things but I also miss the consistency and knowing what I’m going to get. I really miss the bistro filet, that was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten.
Absolutely phenomenal food, not overpriced, and very friendly service. I'll be back 110%. Right next to the Gothic Theater, great place for a pre show meal.
We visited this restaurant for the first time on Sunday for lunch and it was fantastic. The menu had comfort food, but clearly elevated ingredients that made it so much tastier than standard fare.I ordered the chicken pastrami sandwich and my husband got the crispy chicken. For sides you have several options including salad, fries, or chips - we both opted for Parmesan fries. The portions were huge and the food was delicious. They do have vegetarian/vegan options and a kids menu as well. We would definitely recommend this for anyone.
I think your café has an assortment of foods to choose and it was extremely flavorful. The server was additionally cordial and expert. They offered fulfilling food varieties. I enthusiastically prescribe them to all! Many thanks!
