Unbelievably good in every way. Seven of us had lunch here, and everyone of us thought it was amazing. They are very friendly, and the food was perfect. For instance, most of the time when you order an omelette with lots of stuff inside, each bite might include only one or two of the items… But here every single bite included every single taste/item that I ordered in the omelette. They took great care to chop it all up and distribute it perfectly. The pies are amazing. Waitresses were very friendly and attentive. We’re only here nine days, but will be back for more!
Full disclosure: We went in for the first time in many years, because our friends recently bought it and are running it. We'd always enjoyed Oscar's, but only made it in once every 2-3 years.It was as good - if not better - than ever! We had the Mex Brex (a fave of mine since the early 90's), the basic/classic egg breakfast, a milkshake, and a cinnamon roll. Everything was great, and our server, Charissa, was wonderful. We did not have pie, but have enjoyed it in the past, and I could see that they were looking delectable in the dessert case.We love the classic diner atmosphere, complete with counter service.
Oscars is an amazing traditional diner with an exceptional selection of food for breakfast and brunch! Guy and his staff are friendly and efficient. Oscars is really popular so go on line and use the app to pre-reserve your place in line for a table! Even if you have to wait for a table it is more than worth your time!!!! Kids - young and old will love the working model train and the captivating decor! A great environment with a great dining experience! We are repeat customers who make this our "go to" diner for breakfast and brunch in Durango!
Fantastic as always! Friendly atmosphere with two awesome G scale trains running on their elevated layout around the café!Their “Blissful Chicken” burger was wonderful!
I love diners. This place is kind of a Disney version as opposed to the real thing (like the Durango Diner). I had hashbrowns smothered in gren chili with eggs on top. It was excellent. Service was good until the end. We finished our meals and got the check. I wanted to chill with one more cup of coffee. Before the waitnress would acknowledge my request and top off the cup. This time, she did not say anything, but finally filled my cup while offering it to go. I coud understand this bum's rush if the tables were full, but they were not. Kind of put an unnecessary damper on the experience.
I've been going here since 1993 and it is consistently delicious. The owner, Kelly, is absolutely fantastic and and gave me a cup of coffee while I waited for my table. Expect to wait, because it's that good! Otherwise get there early or order takeout, the Peak Out (my go-to breakfast) tasted just as good bringing it home as eating it there. It is a down home, welcoming vibe.
How did this place get such a high rating? The food was really awful. The hash browns tasted like they were made yesterday and recooked today, the gravy was the worst I've ever had, I can't even place what the flavor was. The eggs were fluffy, but had no flavor. The restroom was really neglected, my husband said he has seen gas stations with better bathrooms.The only positive thing about this place is the servers who were outstanding. Very low quality food in general. We won't be back.
Very good breakfast. Good service. Homemade hot sauce was good. But would have preferred Tobasco. My chicken fried steak and eggs was good the actually cooked the eggs over easy. He gad the corned beef hash and eggs. Corned beed was too salty. But overall a really good restaurant. We will remember it when we come into town again
Oh lawd this place is amazingly delicious!! Pies look homemade, hot cocoa, have you even seen one made like this in a restaurant... I don't think so. All our food was delicious, and the apple pie ala mod YUM! You'll probably have to wait for a seat but it's worth it!
Excellent food and very king and courteous staff during a busy Tuesday morning. Will definitely return to enjoy the food, friendliness and the train. ?
