Which I could be more positive. The chips and salsa were at the top of the list. It went downhill from there. My husband had the taco plate and I had taco and cheese enchilada. We gave the ground beef tacos a try (shredded beef is more common for us) they were marginal. My taco had no toppings, cheese enchilada was made with flour not my preference. Hey but the chips and salsa was great. The service was exceptional. Which I liked it better.
Service was friendly and quick. The Margaritas were a great value! The salsa was homemade and delicious. I had the Pollo Mole and the chicken was incredibly tender. Mole was delicious. There was a ton of food! My husband had the Asada burrito with green Chile sauce. Perfect blend of meat and heat.
We were visiting from Illinois and stopped in for a quick bite. The street tacos were very tasty, as was the house marg. We especially appreciated our server giving us advice on where to go swimming in the area! We spent the next day at a beautiful lake and made lots of great memories thanks to her. :)
We are visiting Durango and want to support small businesses so decided to try this restaurant. The food is very good and authentic Mexican. The only thing we didn’t like was the sopapillas. Tasted like tortilla grease and were doughy tasting. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend them!
The second we walked in we were met by unfriendly staff. Could not accommodate a family of 8 when there were tables nearby that could have been easily moved together. Even asking again to be able to sit together, the response was that they “just don’t do that”; meaning moving the tables. They sat us 4 at one table and then towards the back of the restaurant, another 4. Last dinner together in Durango and we sat apart. THEY WERE RIDICULOUS. Right after they sat us down, they sat the tables that were closer by to the other part of our family.Tacos dripped grease all over my plate when eating and they were tiny. Cheese enchilada was basically a cheese stick in a tortilla, no taste at all in the sauce. My husband did like the chimichanga and my dad liked his street tacos. Margaritas were probably some of the best I had. Main complaint is as the owner and staff. Do not recommend and will never go back ?
This is borderline, my second home. You simply do NOT find places as exceptional as this in Durango anymore. The family who owns, and operates this establishment is kind beyond words, and blessedly, refreshingly, genuine! I've cycled most of the menu at this point; literally never once had a meal that wasn't anything short of Fantastic! Treat yourself, be kind, and come on by for an experience you didn't know you were missing!
This restaurant was not on the main road but nice because the windows were open. It was a family place but had a bar. The salsa was very good and fresh. The street tacos were good.
We came here about 5 on a Tuesday and not too crowded at all. We are from TX and take our Mexican dood seriously ? Tex mex is what we are used too, but we absolutely loved our food. The salsa was amazing and we loved the white queso. I had the enchiladas, my husband had tacos and daughter a burrito and we all loved the food. The service was great as well. Three servers working so hard and they did amazing at keeping up with everyone.
We came here around 430 on a Friday. We were the only table sat, everyone else at the bar. Our waitress was Macce. I have to say she was a little aloof. She only checked once if we needed anything. Drinks were empty. She brought our check while we were half way through our meal. While she was still at our table I asked for refills to go. She just walked away. My husband's steak for his Carne Americana was disgusting. The beef for the tacos was decent but the proportions were on the smaller side for the price. Our Mexican potatoes were still crunchy so a tad under cooked. The pictures and reviews looked better than it actually was.
If you get a chance to visit the lovely Durango, CO you must stop by Mi Ranchito!!We stopped by after taking the train ride and it hit the right spot. It is right across the street from the train. Their salsas are perfectly made and tasteful! We had mi ranchito burrito, tacos (chorizo, asada, and carnitas), and a cantarito. Everything was delicious!!This location is perfect for small or large groups. They also have a wide selection of adult beverages.
