Prime rib was good & roof top dining was the way to go

Amazing dinning experience. Service and food were fantastic.

I ordered lobster hamburger with beet salad(upgraded side) but hamburger was close to raw in the middle and beet salad came with few small pice of beets and no sauce and green vegetables was withered.( it looks and taste like day old) Hamburger was pretty average too. Service was great that’s why we didn’t complained food but I wouldn’t go back to eat food.

Delicious and fabulous service!

Eolus is probably the best restaurant in Durango, not just the food or wine list but the atmosphere down to the crisp white table linens. Service was excellent. We loved the rooftop space, though be warned it can get hot up here even in the evening because of the elevation. The appetizers/starters were a little weak. A shrimp cocktail would have been nice. The scallops were generous and could have been a light main course. The salmon main course without the Asian sauce was excellent. The wine list was superb and had a few Colorado selections, including the lightly oaked 2015 Sutcliffe Vineyards chardonnay from nearby. All things considered, we would return. Highly recommended. $270 for two bottles of wine, two appetizers, two main courses, and one dessert.

Thank you Eolus for a wonderful relaxed night out with absolutely superb food, very good service and a great ambiance. Our server, Larkin, was very professional and friendly. The food was excellent, definitely a level above. So good to find a restaurant that still serves sorbet, and it’s made in-house, absolutely delicious!

The presentation was fabulous, but taste way too salty for a quality restaurant of this high caliber. Alas, it was quite a disappointment! My wife ordered the Grilled Hangar Steak. Not only was it burned on the outside, but it was way too salty…. both the steak and the overly salty spinach. When she reordered the scallops, while delicious, the chips underneath were burned as well. As for the sweet potato fries, they were burned and salty too! I felt a complaint about them was going too overboard, so I decided not to. But the desserts were truly delicious and extremely well presented. Our waiter was a marginal listener as he kept saying “I understand”or “I get it “even to the point of interrupting the me, the patron. And to make matters worse, he had a waitress in training.. his shadow! I just wanted to be heard. Did she really learn how to handle a patron not satisfied? Hmmm. I wonder if he told the chef what I ultimately told him. “Let the customer put his own salt on! Some of us can take no salt in our diets!” In fact, if it were my restaurant I would have the chef come out and greet us and make amends. All in all a very marginal experience. Hence 3 stars!

Let me start by saying the customer service was impeccable. My husband and I were honeymoon-ing in Durango & made reservations for Eolus a couple of weeks in advance. Upon our reservation date we informed them we would be a little behind. Turns out we were much late than expected and yall…. The owner/manager was SO accommodating. He allowed us to come and be seated, served a delicious meal, and dessert without any fuss or fight. The food was amazing, not one thing we didn’t like about it. Try the lavender creme brulee for dessert!!! Our server, I can’t remember her name (maybe Anne?) tall, blonde, woman… she was very very kind and attentive. Would absolutely recommend!

We ate a truly great meal with exceptional service from Ryan. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and excited to share the great food and drinks. They also had amazing kids menu and made our family feel very welcome. My boys loved the beef tenderloin dinner and chocolate ice cream dessert. This is a true gem in Durango and one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. Thank you to Ryan and the rest of the Eolus staff for a great night out.

This was truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. We walked in with our 3 little kids and Eric said “you look like you need a whiskey”. So we go to sit down at the table and before I could even get my jacket off, Eric brought me a nice little taste of some locally distilled whiskey from Colorado. Then, when the servers brought the food out they had one person for each of us at the table. The food was dropped all at the same time. I’ve only experienced this once before at a Four Seasons in Bora Bora. I would highly recommend this place. Has now become my favorite place. Oh, and the food is amazing…Surf and Turf was decadent!
