Zane's is at it once again! Outstanding food, outstanding service, and outstanding vibe! I ma excited for their move to a new location which promises to hold many more customers. They deserve all the success in large part, due to the fact that Zane himself is frequently on site to greet his customers. Good, classic Italian fare with nice specials and helpful, friendly, attentive staff. Entrees from $12 - $25 and appetizers $7 - $16. Happy hour here gives ½ off apps and bar drinks... any bar drink! The wine/ bar prices are premium priced normally, so, a generous shot of normally pricey 'Clase Azul' tequila was finally reasonable at $13.00 during happy hour!? The free bread sticks were toasty good. Food & drinks arrived quickly.Nearby parking fills up during busy times.Zane, the owner regularly circulates amongst the patrons. Very nice themed atmosphere. Good Pizzas and super sized calzones. Entree portions are large.
Nice neighborhood Italian restaurant. Service was great. We went for happy hour, which is all day until 6:00 p.m. 50% off appetizers and glasses of wine. The meatballs were good.As was the tiramisu, non-traditional presentation.
I absolutely love this place. The mussels, Italian egg rolls, crispy chicken salad, lobster ravioli, etc. is AMAZING. I typically bring my 1 year old in with me and the staff has been more than accommodating to keep her happy and entrained! It’s definitely my favorite place in DTC!We recently had a really bad experience with a sever/experience and a fellow server and the owner Zane were so hospitable and quick to fix the issue. They really care about customer service and providing the best experience they can!
Went here on a whim with my son, and so glad we did! The food was delicious! I got the fiocchi because I had never heard of it and was feeling adventurous, and it was delicious. My son loved his dish as well, and the waitress recommended apps that would complement the food. Overall a great experience.
Another wonderful dining experience at Zane’s Italian Bistro! Ambiance makes you feel like you just hit upon a cute little eatery in Italy. Always a warm and friendly welcome by Zane himself, who hustles like every other employee to assure your experience is perfect! Kyle, our waiter, could not have been more helpful…. making sure our “dining experience” was just that…. a delightful experience (which is quite rare these days since the pandemic). As for the food, always the best Italian in town! Thanks for a great evening Zane and Kyle!
Service is terrible. Food is mediocre. Don't recommend.
My first experience was great and I loved the Gluten-Free options. The second time we had them deliver to our office and 3/4 of the order was incorrect. But last night was the real kicker... I arrived after a friend of mine and apparently she had asked if there was seating at the bar. I did not realize it was so inappropriate to ask the question when I arrived. Zane full on snapped at me and basically ripped me a new one because my friend had asked the question. She got defensive for his attack on my common question and basically told him to get some manners. We should have left but frankly, I was in shock at being snapped at like that and we had friends coming from different areas. Our server witnessed the entire thing and was so timid the entire time I felt bad for her. She was fantastic and super sweet and I would recommend she look for a better job elsewhere. I have never in my life been treated this way. The GF bread was burned but due to our poor server I did not say anything. The "Bolognese" was poor literally just ground beef with some canned sauce. They are also completely out of code regarding fire codes with the tasteless "Brick" wall separating the dining room and bar. It was also chilly and they kept the front door open. Just because your daddy gave you a restaurant and you took too many steroids does not allow you to treat your guests this way. Enjoy dealing with the city.
Tipping is mandatory at this restaurant regardless of service. According to manager the waiters and waitresses don't work for free. So I am assuming that thete is no hourly rate paid. Seems odd but maybe Colorado Law allows this. Either way if you don't tip you can expect a visit from the manager to basically tell you to F*** off and leave. I like the food but the way they treat payong customers is horrible. Not to mention not paying their staff some sort of hourly wage.
I may be biased as I likely qualify as a "regular" here. But you don't become a regular by the establishment not doing the right things. I have been very pleased with the servers, bartenders, bus boys everyone. Food is good (calzone the best deal in my opinion), happy hour everyday is very good and if something isn't satisfactory it's always been fixed. Will continue to visit and recommend. How often is the owner there that you can meet the actually Zane? Always a good sign to me.
