Worst Mediterranean food I've ever tested; I ordered a falafel wrap and they only threw some lettuce and 3 old dry falafel when they told me it comes with 6. I just wasted my money . Hummus was tasteless and bitter . Grape leaves old and rice raw.I wish I can give them a zero start.Super disappointed.
I was searching online for a restaurant that served food that actually looks appetizing when other people take pictures of it. I don't need an upscale restaurant, but I also don't want the food to look like slop or like the meal took a bath in fake butter.Yahya's popped up and the pictures looked great. The restaurant was modest but inviting. Our waitress Maci was fantastic. She always had a smile and a great attitude. Our food was just what I was looking for that I didn't know I wanted: marinated quail, lamb curry, and Turkish coffee. My wife had a gyro, and we shared a rice pudding for dessert. Our daughter had a blast finishing the Turkish delight! They also had a kid's high chair with straps that actually work. That alone is a huge plus. This is a great restaurant. We felt welcomed by the employees. We enjoyed a well made meal, with an appetizer, a drink, and dessert, all for a very reasonable cost. Very happy with our experience here!
This place was really, really good! The staff is friendly, and the menu was simple. I got chicken kabob, and it was very delicious and well seasoned. Same to the lentil soup. I’m Tunisian, so I love Arab food. :) recommended place.
My husband and I had the platter for two and I have to say that was the most delicious tender meat/chicken I've ever had ? It comes with salad, soup & hummus as well but those didn't make it to the picture because we devoured them lol. Thank you Yahya for treating us with such hospitality and kindness. The food was a 10/10 we were very impressed and pleased with it. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for Mediterranean food, it is a MUST! Also it's halal so a plus point for all my Muslims out there oh ALSO THE KNAFA is amazing and so delicious, you definitely have to try it!
If we’ve been here, it was right before Covid hit and when it was a small buffet-style restaurant. We loved the buffet because you could try everything, even pastries. Hence, why we stopped two days ago, but it is no longer a buffet, and understandably so. Though, their food is still delicious. We ordered the beef and chicken skewers for two, which came with a large bowl of yellow rice and salad, soup and the creamiest humus. While the meats were all tasty, we liked the beef kabob the best, not the kafta type one, which seemed a little gamey (it could have been lamb and lamb does have a stronger flavor). For drinks, we ordered their hot Turkish and hibiscus teas. In the hour we were there, the restaurant was not busy, but it seemed they received many takeout orders. People dashed in and out for take out! Yet my daughter and I sat outside and enjoyed watching the hustle and bustle of life on Colfax. Also, the waitresses and waiters were all friendly and attentive.
Won’t order take out from here again, due to the small portions. For 12$ I can go a lot of places nearby and get more food than this. Great quality, probably best to dine in however.See photo: lunch special didn’t even come with naan ?
Came in for an early dinner the staff was welcoming while attentive. I had the beef kabobs, tabouleh salad, and cheese rolls. All my food came out piping hot and quickly! I started to read my book thinking it would be a little bit, but only got through 3 pages. The small staff worked together efficiently to take on another table, then about 12 to-go orders in the time I was there. My waitress was very quick to check in during all of this, though I was quite content with the meal as is.The hot sauce really brought the meal together and had me practically vacuuming my plate!Decided to get dessert, but couldn't choose which so I had the rice pudding and the pistachio baklava. Both were very good. Looking forward to grabbing a quick lunch here soon!Thank you Yahya's staff!
I'm not certain if the delivery from here comes from a different place... but I wasn't very satisfied with the goods. All packaged in Styrofoam boxes. The gyro meat was fried after slicing. Everything felt and tasted like they've been sitting on heaters for a while. Not making a judgment on the restaurant itself since I didn't dine in, but won't get my Mediterranean delivery fix from here.
We had a wonderful meal for Ramadan Iftar. The place is nice and clean and the food is very tasty. The people who work there are very respectful.
muy sabrosa comida, buena atención y buen ambiente
