My family and I visited this location at 8:26 PM on 7/7/22. We are “out of towners” that enjoy the Tropical Smoothie Cafe in our municipality, excited to get dinner and smoothies to go after a long day. When we arrived, the door was locked with three employees inside, and some customers. The employees saw us, and ignored us as we stood outside. The hours on the door, as well as online stated that this location closes at 9:00 PM, so you can imagine our confusion to be locked out and ignored. We decided to place a call to the store, in case we had missed something. A woman, who I assume was the manager on duty told us they decided to close early due to lack of staffing. This seemed bizarre considering there were three employees working at the time. I asked if we could come in, and after a pause she stated “we can only make smoothies but no food due to staff shortage.” I decided not to challenge her because we at least could get smoothies, which I suppose is better than nothing. It became apparent that they had shut down the food prep stations early, in anticipation of an early close. I, myself was a retail manger for over 10 years. I would have been upset to hear this about my store, but grateful for the customer feedback so that I could have the opportunity to turn it around for customers experiencing my store in the future. I hope owner reads this, because you’re store is only as good as your worst employee. That was my motto as a manager.
2 star because it's at least frozen.First smoothie I've ever had that's 80% ice. Like this tastes horrible. It's a watery flavored peanut but depression.Def not coming back. Bleh bleh yuck gross bleh
This was my first time at this location, but I've tried their smoothies in other states/cities. I ordered the mango/pineapple smoothie, unfortunately; it lacked flavor. My smoothie tasted very watered down. There was 1 employee taking orders & making drinks.There was 1 person ahead of me, and 5 adults and I child, behind me. If I'm not mistaken, I also saw a female and another guy (worker's) I'm just not sure why they weren't helping with the orders.
Love the smoothies here! Only reason I did not give five stars is because of the way one customer behind me was treated while ordering. It was clearly her first time in and when asking for suggestions the cashier was super unfriendly and unsocial. I ended up turning around and making some suggestions so the poor girl could order. Food is great at this location but the service is so so.
You knooooow it was good. I came here to get some extra greens and veggies. I looked at reviews prior to coming here. The apple kale slaw was good. I think it’s definitely worth a try. I ordered the super veggies island detox w extra ginger and the menu said that the smoothie was naturally sweetened. Aaaaand that exactly what I got. Lol I was expecting Jamba Juice w the added sugar but nooope this place was a lot more organic and more natural. Hindsight……I should’ve asked for some agave syrup or some type extra sweetener. I gave it 5 stars bcz the person who made my smoothie gave me the extra on the side and that was great. I’ll definitely come back. The service was good. The place was clean. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff and overall good experience.
I love tropical smoothie however, my experience today was unpleasant. The facility closes at 9 pm and we walked in at 8:20. The three employees there didn’t acknowledge us. We stood at the counter awkwardly until they finally decided to take our order. Another customer walked in shortly after us and they turned them away and said they are closed. The smoothies were also lacking flavor. Overall very disappointed because this was a place I enjoyed.
fell while walking out the store ? but my order was great. you can tell from walking in that the employees get along great with one another, you can tell there’s a positive environment. they’re also impressively fast with completing orders. the tall guy i think is the supervisor, he handles the entire inside really well. overall my smoothie and food were great

I always enjoy there great tasting Smoothies. My favorite blend is Strawberries, Mangoes, and pineapples.
I have been to this tropical smoothie twice and both times the workers have not been friendly and it was very dirty. The first time they took their time taking the trash out while I was in the drive through waiting, they didn’t bother to wash their hands and there was trash stains on the straw wrappers and cups. The second time the same girl was prepping something and we waited about 10-15 minutes until she was finally finished and she was not friendly at all. Not to mention there was food on the straw wrappers and cups again. I work in the food industry so I know when there is a rush things take longer, but I was the only one in line. Never going back there again!
