So disappointing. I have eaten here over a dozen times. Always a great place to go before going over to the Denver Center of Performing Arts. This is my first time back post Pandemic.Problems here start at the top if you ask me. From the moment we arrived the staff seemed confused and everyone seemed to have "that's not my job" sensibility. We had a view of he kitchen and watched as a dish would be put up on the counter and 10 people would walk by without checking. 5 minutes later someone would finally notice, and there would be a frantic discussion trying to figure out where this goes.We ordered a charcuterie board and it was extremely disappointing. The speck was trimmed from a dried out end of the spec and should have been trimmed and thrown out. It was in edible. The cheese was old and crusty. Obviously these board were made up (days?) ahead of time and left sitting.Wife got a linguini which seems like the pasta had been cooked ahead of time and sat in a bin. Sauce was good but pasta was terrible. The sole highlight of the dinner was the shortrib burger was delicious and luckily large enough to share with my wife.So sad to see a formerly great place in this state of confusion.

We got married at Hotel Teatro and the Nickel provided the food and holy cow. Chef Anthony is brilliant! Everything was so delicious and the staff was incredible. Even the next day for breakfast the staff took such good care of each guest, and I am still craving the breakfast a week later. Special shout out to Nada, Lisa, and Dana for being so hospitable and truly kind and helpful!

Nice super friendly place. Staff is awesome (beware if a big Broadway show is in town you'll need reservations weeks in advance). Biggest drawback is menu choices. Only 5 or 6 ( must be from the Gordon Ramsey camp) the food is good. Drinks great. Staff wonderful. Customers friendly. Pre fixe choice DCPA

Great vibe but definitely only go for drinks! All four of us were disappointed with our meals, the Caesar salads were each served with rock hard, inedible croutons and it went downhill from there. The service was good, just eat elsewhere.

I ate here twice, dinner and breakfast. Must say that the service I received at breakfast was the worst service I have ever had, in my life, period. It was unbelievable. The restaurant was nearly empty, there were 2-3 servers running around, and it was as if they actively ignored me. I tried to flag them down multiple times because they were sitting chatting with what appeared to be friends at the table *right next to me* but they would turn their back to me and just walk the other way. I had to get up and physically walk to the hostess bar two or three times to ask for things like, menu, check, to order food. They simply had no idea how to do their job. The hamburger I had for dinner was really tasty.

Went on the day they were having a Valentine's Courses meal and it was delicious. This was a Kobe Raised Steak on top of Goat Cheese Mashed potatoes with a side of grilled asparagus. Service was awesome as well as the other courses that came out. Bomb.

Everything was prepared so well, beyond our expectations. Entire staff was extremely friendly, hospitality was warm and genuine. A hidden gem.

We had a party of 7 and the food came out together, hot and steaks cooked perfectly. Most of our table ordered steak and it was amazing! The service was great, the place is beautiful and gives you upscale vibe. Our server was amazing. The chocolate dessert thing was wow. Drinks were delicious. Loved this place and will be back

My husband and I took 2 friends with us to dinner at The Nickel before heading to the DCPA to see The Lion King on Friday night. It was AWEsome!!! NADA, our server, ROCKED!! Such a delight ... took great care of us ... and made the whole night a BLAST!! EJ, our craft-cocktail master was AHmazing!! He made 2 cocktail that weren't on the menu (both spicy margs) that were the BEST margs I've ever had! We had SO MUCH FUN talking with these 2. Such fun! -SDT
