The food and drinks here are fantastic. I think nearly every time I've been, I get the jalapeno poppers and the blackberry whiskey mule, so don't skip those. Otherwise all the fish is really good, well seasoned and tasty. The staff is great too. If I had a single complaint it would be it's too busy, haha, so don't tell anyone else how good it is...

Always a great meal at the 49th. I came in for a burger but couldn’t pass up the ahi Tuna special! Delicious food, great atmosphere and attentive service!

I was craving Fish and Chips today, but didn’t want to make the drive to my go-to restaurant. There are a couple of places local that offer Fish and Chips, but neither place really delivers the taste and quality I was hoping for. Today I found The 49th and I’m very glad I did! The strip mall location is unassuming. The atmosphere inside is very comfortable and welcoming. Service is friendly and helpful. The menu offers quite the assortment, but today I was on a mission for Fish and Chips. Food delivery was fast and the portion was ample with Chips and 4 pieces of Cod. They also offer the dish with Salmon and Halibut (seasonally). The Fries had a good crunch and were well seasoned. The Fish was well cooked and flaky. It was not greasy and had a great flavor. They serve the Fish with a spicy Tartar Sauce that also had a very good flavor. I was very happy with the taste and quality of the meal as well as the friendly service. Cod Fish & Chips (with an extra Tartar Sauce) and an Iced Tea was $18. I fee this is definitely worth the price and reasonable for the taste, atmosphere and service. I will definitely return to The 49th in the future. Someday, I may even order something other than the Fish and Chips. Maybe.

The owners and staff are awesome and the food is always good.

Nice out of the way tavern like restaurant. Most of the tables are high tops but they have a few lower tables that are comfortable. The menu is Alaskan themed, familiar items with Alaskan names and some unique dishes like Potato Pickle Soup. The food was good and served quickly. Our server was attentive even though they were full and busy the whole time we were there.

A cool place. Drinks and beer were good. Server was nice. But the food was mediocre to terrible. The crab dip was really bad... Like awful, bad. It was sweet and had no actual taste beyond the weird sweetness. The fish and chips were basically like Gorton's frozen fish from the grocery store. And the burger was among the worst we've ever had. Ordered it medium, it came out like an old burnt shoe. Wouldn't go back.

Great place. EXCEPT they need some regular tables towards the front. The only ones they have now is back in the kiddy section. I took a handicapped lady who can't use the high drinker's tables. The kid section was full. We were forced to go down the street.

The food is always good here. I feel the pricing is fair for the quality and quantity of food. The beer is cold and refreshing. They have Alaskan beers and some other American style light lagers. There are several TVs inside and roughly 15 tables along with the bar. I would highly recommend this establishment, 5 stars.

The Jr. burger was amazing! The elk beef was super juicy. The brussel sprouts were fabulous very unique with the bacon pumpkin seeds and the dried berry with goat cheese.
