Very tasty, authentic and fresh Mexican food. The menu is very different and interesting, plus vegetarian options. Will be back!
Super friendly service! Great little authentic place on Federal. I had 3 street tacos (1 chorizo, 2 al pastor) and they were delicious! My friend had the Banana leaf Mole tamale and thought it was great too. They have the big size of Mexican coke and other sodas too.
I went on a date here last week and was so happy with this place. The location is not necessarily ideal as they’re right next to a bunch of sketchy closed businesses, but once you’re inside you forget all about that. The menu is extensive and there are LOTS of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options!! as a vegetarian, I’m not used to that many choices but I loved it. They let us taste their Mole sauce, which was good (I’m just not a fan of mole in general). We got the huevos rancheros (I asked for it with all the veggies the chef wanted to put in), zucchini enchiladas, and a crispy Chile relleno. The dessert was deep fried ice cream with churros (literally some of the best churros I’ve ever tasted). To say we were impressed is an understatement.The food does have a bit of a kick, so be forewarned—but I really enjoyed it. A lot of places don’t have the courage to add good spice to their food and I love that Tarascos does. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious, and vegetarian friendly Mexican food, I highly recommend coming here!!
Best Oaxacan mole I've had outside of Mexico city or actual Oaxaca. Honestly it's just as good as it was in Mexico. Didn't try the other food but the mole gets a 5 star rating alone.
Amazing food! Small restaurant with a great menu and lots of variety. A little spicy but nothing a drink of cold water won’t help. I don’t like much spice but it really made the dishes taste so good and didn’t burn your lips off. They have lots of vegan and vegetarian dishes that are marked on the menu. Juices that are from just veggies or fruits. The decor is very cool too!!
Hole in he wall, small family Mexican restaurant. You owe it to your tastebuds to stop here. We had two platters of street tacos with rice and beans. The first was shredded chicken, tender and flavorful. The second was nopales and it was amazing! Grilled, tender not mushy. The green sauce is hot, nice flavors. We also got churros, wow! To die for! The serve coke products so five stars from me!
Absolutely one of the best meals I've ever had. Staff was friendly and the service left nothing to be desired. The food itself is seasoned perfectly and tastes very fresh. Their juices are incredible as well. I can't say enough about this place - if you're hungry and craving amazing food in a very cutely decorated establishment, this is the place to go. (Pssst: take you dates here! ?)
Neighbor gem! The food is unreal! It’s kind of hidden but one you spot it off Federal it’s a little oasis of delicious ‘aguas frescas’ tacos, tamales, carne asada…the refried beans..Cute decor and very affordable. Just wonderful!!
I always come here for delicious Mole and refreshing Agua Fresca! They have SO MANY vegetarian options!
