While the food is very fast and very good, watch what they add to your tab. We were charged $2 for ice in a cocktail, 20% service charge (only 4 of us), tax was ridiculous and THEN tip! All told just in service charges and taxes with our tip added $68 extra dollars. Read your bill!
Visited Tap & Burger in Slo Hi (I didn't thow this was a thing...Sloans Lake Highlands neighborhood) - cute area tucked off of Colfax. Pleasant weather on a Tuesday so we dined on the patio for an early lunch...plenty of open seating both inside snd out. My husband ordered the patty melt and I asked for the black and blue burger. It occurred to me that I wasn't asked how I like my burger prepared so it did arrive pinker than I prefer - but I did like the bacon jam. My husband said his meal was tasty, however, he felt it was a small serving. The truffle aioli wth the fries was yummy and I definitely recommend the pretzel bites. Service was good and when I asked for a clean water glass because mine had lips on the rim - she was prompt with a replacement. We caught that the 20% gratuity was included - so didn't end up over tipping. Would visit again.
What the heck guys. I order regularly and this is the worst meal I’ve received. I always order the same meal: Tap Burger with White Truffle Aoli. Tonight I received this: plain mayonnaise with peppercorn and a not even barely cooked burger. What did I even do to you to deserve this as a loyal customer???
Tried out Tap and Burger in Sloans Lake and it did not disappoint! Kept it simple with the original burger on a gluten free bun and a side of DEEELICIOUS green chili… for dipping of course. ? Extra Big ups as they carried Holidaily gluten free beer to wash down all that deliciousness! Will be back for seconds!
Great burger even better sweet potato tots. The sweet potato tots were like little candies, it was so hard to not just keep popping them. We also got the shroom luves which was awesome, the flavor was savory and nothing was overpowering. The only thing about this place that is bad is the price.
Good burger (Tap Burger), good onion rings, good wine (Bar Dough House Red), and friendly and efficient service. The burger patty seemed premade/preformed and was over cooked (maybe I should have ordered medium rare), but the Au jus made it better. Overall burger was good but not standout, hence the four stars. I will def come back tho.
Some of the best wings and burgers in town with an extensive beer list to choose from!I have been a fan of Tap & Burgers food for a few years now, especially their smoked wings, but have recently fallen in love with their burgers as well!The Sloan's lake location has indoor and outdoor seating. The inside has plenty of TV's focused around the bar if you wanted to grab a bite and watch the game.I recommend their smoked wings, which are some of the best in town, and the black & blue burger. The black and blue has this bacon jam that just takes this burger to the next level!Tap & burger has 3 other locations in Westminster, Highlands, and Belleview!
Sports bar setting with a decent burger and great selection of drinks. I did not drink but was impressed by the drinks menu, clean bar, and a diverse tap selection that even included hard kombucha from Jiant.Shroom Luva burger was decent, swiss and mushrooms provided the flavors but patty was lacking. It's too thin to pass as a regular patty but lacks the signature crispy lace of smashed patties. Sweet potato tots were fresh and cripy, a great choice for sides. Service was great, food came quickly and I respect their enforcement of vaccination proof.
Really, this is a good place, our server was on top and The Classic Smash (basic burger) was very flavorful. I'm just miffed about the 20% service charge that I noticed after I got my bill. I had to look up reviews to see what a "service charge" even means to Tap & Burger and now I feel I was ripped off because I tipped 22% on top of the forced gratuity. My friend and I did not see that disclaimer on the menu, I've been conditioned to expect this only for parties of 8 or more at restaurants that choose to do so.Until all the other restaurants decide to incorporate this fee, I'm choosing to drink and dine elsewhere.
I live in the neighborhood and have tried repeatedly to support Tap and Burger. I've mostly ordered takeout for the last couple of years because pandemic. The food is decent... when they get the order right. Unfortunately it's been one two many times coming home to find out they messed up my order.. I think this was the fourth time? This time it was a veggie patty when I was expecting a normal burger. Talk about a disappointment. Can't recommend this place to anyone, especially if you're looking for takeout.
