This is the only place I will ever get tamales in Colorado. Service is excellent and tamales are amazing. Thank you for providing great service.
They have excellent tamales. We bought both kinds and they are very tasty and the price is compatible to most other places that sell tamales by the dozen. Only part we didn't like was the long 20 minute wait.
Food went downhill. It is small with limited seating. Tamales are small overpriced and hardly have meat inside. No such thing as 6 feet spacing when your standing waiting for food. Did I mention that the parking is atrocious. Better places to eat "mexican" food.
Fantastic tamales, both green and red, wonderful shredded beef burritos on homemade flour tortillas and an Denver "egg roll style" chile relleno. I would get everything again except for the relleno. Amazing bang for the buck in a really comfortable clean restaurant. The counter service was helpful and polite.
I have only had their red chile and pork tamales and they are the best tamales I have ever had. My family also agrees. Whenever I visit Denver, I would buy at least 10 dozens to bring home for everyone.
I had not been to La Casita for quite some time after my family moving from 43rd and Tejon where we had lived since 1970's. My mother who was well known in the North Side community also worked with Paul Sandoval when he opened the restaurant on 44th & Tennyson. I had called to order 3 dozen tamales on the morning of May 21st, the employee was a young girl and took my order. I had not finished my order and was hung up on, I was trying to ask the amount I was to pay when I got there. When I did get there to pick up I would say around 9 or 9:30am. I went to the counter and was given a receipt in the amount of $146, this was not my order. I was asked if I was Ann...I said no I am Bernadine and ordered 3 dozen tamales. This girl was so rude and living in North Denver all my life I did not appreciate this.
The best tamales ever! Love the location. Love the employees. My husband and I always take in our tribe of kiddos and they’re always so nice and get us in and out. The margaritas are good too and they have them to go if needed. The outdoor seating is our favorite when it’s nice out. Prices are perfect ??
Had some tamales at a party were so delicious! They were Spicy but not to the point, you can’t taste the flavor. They had the best non greasy or soggy texture. I don’t know about the rest of their menu but I just have to say that the cheese jalapeño tamales are one of the best.
If you want some great Mexican food this is the spot. Definitely order a dozen or 2 of tamales they’re the best in town, I’d say.
Hands down at some of the best chili I've had in Colorado after living in New Mexico for 15 years the regularly had just the right spice the green chili had the hatch Green chili oh it was it was very delicious the tamales just even a single tamale was good enough for me for a meal perfect proportions of masa and the the pork in the middle the beef and bean burrito was outstanding proportionate for size and cost the cost is not extravagant it's very reasonable loved this place thank you to my coworker she nailed it right on the head loved it loved it loved it definitely be visiting again
