This place is horrible, this place is fraud, I bought an order of rolled tacos and the tacos were completely empty yes there's was nothing in them just rolled tortilla, this is so pathetic. It's like a burrito with nothing in it or a regular taco with just tortilla or a quesadilla without cheese. Strongly do not recommend any of these empty taco star.
This place has always been a hit or miss. Was here recently waited in line for an eternity. Was behind a vehicle that was at the window. Saw them receiving their food. Saw them looking at their meals from my vehicle through their back glass window. Instantly noticed them opening up one of the meals. Overheard the driver say that it wasn't their's so they handed it back to the cashier then they drove off. Literally saw 3 or 4 people look into that. When I approached the window I saw the cashier tying the same bag. I asked if he had just mistakenly gave them my food, he said no. I told him I just saw everything and asked if they could remake that order. In times of covid you have to be aware. The guy had some beef so I did not accept his attitude. Never coming back. Yuck! I would rather go to del taco next door next time. That's how serious this is.
Always check your order before you leave the drive-thru. Ordered the combination #2 and two combination #5’s. Get home and find out the combination #2 didn’t have rice or beans. Drive all the way back and asked to make sure that it comes with the rice and beans and of course it dose. Asked for a fresh one they told me that their policy is that they only give you what’s missing. Nothing like eating cold taco’s and hot beans and rice. Not even worthy of one star. Also get a receipt otherwise you are stuck with what they give you.
I was hungry at 3am and was looking for anywhere that was open and close enough to the truck stop to make it there and back without going over on my logs. It was between this and dennys and I’m glad I went here because the food was great! Next time I’m in Denver I’ll be coming again.
Man I really wish I could rate this place higher, after all, the Carne asada fries are the best! But lately the costumer service has not been great... I had always experienced very friendly people and great costumer service, so when it happened the first time I let it slide because I figured everyone has a bad day sometimes. But every time after that I started to have bad experiences with the costumer service. One time I went through the drive through and ordered they confirmed and gave me my total, when I pulled up to the window the guy told me ever rudely, " what did you want" so I repeated my order to him. Then he said, " Oh well we dont have that, you didnt order back there" I was shocked because just out of common sense why would someone go through the drive through and not order... I explained I did. He replied, " Well I guess I can do your order here since you didnt order back there" I just brushed it off because you dont mess with people that handle your food. We went to park and they were delivering food to other cars so I waited in my car but he whistled at us to go get the food. And that irritated me so much because that's just plain rude. I rated 3 stars because the food is really good. I hope they can go back to having the good costumer service they did.
It's a great midnight/after club meal. The portions are huge and the food is decent. The menu is overwhelming if you're new and going through the drive-thru. I recommend going online first. Enjoy.
Found this place a couple of weeks ago, and I'm glad I did. Great breakfast burritos at a decent price. The burritos are huge and packed with flavor. So far, I've tried their chorizo, sausage, ham, and machaca burritos and haven't been disappointed.
The day staff that works during the week is very good at what they do, but the evening weekend staff( especially the young baseball cap wearing kid ) needs to be watched and even then I advise you to check your order very carefully for accuracy before you leave the drive through, I go to Taco Star at least five times a week, but from now On out I will not go there on the weekends (Thanks to the baseball cap charging me for misc. but not putting it in the bag) if this was the first time I could over look a mistake, but it seems that it is normal for that particular young man to consistently make mistakes (or maybe it’s just me personally that gets treated that way)… Weekends drive through CHECK YOUR ORDER B-4 YOU LEAVE
Went there for a quick breakfast bite. So fresh. The burrito I ordered had a thick slice of ham and fresh cooked eggs. Highly recommended.
Wow! Just so you know they have raised the prices and their menu does not reflect that price. I get things are going up but to place a small sign by the speaker that says you have raised prices does not cut it. She told me that the sign was orange. I did not see an orange sign. The only thing she showed me a picture on her phone that showed a white sign. They raised the price of a taco by $1 and the price of a burrito by $2. Then they hand me the receipt that asks for a tip. Nope. You raised the price you let the owner take care of that. Seriously $1 added per taco. Crazy. I won't be back. Of course that won't affect them at all. I did tell her that if they told us the total ahead of time we might not question it and they could address the issue of the sign supposedly on the menu that shows the price increase. No Tony tack is worth $3.50.
