If you leave hungry after breakfast at Syrup in Denver's Cheery Creek, it's your own fault. Not much for atmosphere, downstairs in a small collection of offices, and probably gets pretty crowded, although three of us walked in on a summer Saturday morning. Good array of eggs and pancakes and a variety of "benedicts" -- I went for the Cheery Creek, a flavorful hash with perfectly poached eggs. Hadn't seen tater tots as a choice very often - to each his own, and happily the alternatives included fries and tomato slices. Service was timely and hospitable -- in all a pleasant environment and well delivered.
Great breakfast chorizo tacos! The service was fantastic aswell.
TL;DR - probably not worth the money or driving for. Overall pretty mediocre experience.Latte:Bad. Tasted like drip coffee with foam on top.Food:Not bad but not great - neither me nor my girlfriend overly enjoyed our meals as they seemed to just be lacking any depth of flavor. I literally can’t remember the last time I salted food eating out and had to here. Similarly I had the eggs Benedict and this (pic) was the quality of the egg. Not sure what the point of poaching eggs is if you’re going to turn them into mochi insteadService:Friendly staff but not very attentive. My water glass sat empty the entire meal until we got our check and even then I had to ask for more. Never checked on our table once beyond getting us our food.
Disappointing and expensive. Service was lacking on a Monday morning. The servers where slow and the coffee was cold. Ordered 2 eggs over easy. They were over cooked twice. $3 for 2 thin slices of avocado added to the veggie bowl expound on the over done trope of millennials being broke due to avocado toast. Skip the chicken and waffles the spicy syrup is flavorless and the chicken bland. Smashed tots were good.
This was our first time here. What a great place. It is right across the street from City Park and the Denver Zoo is close too. The food was delicious. The portions are large; we couldn't eat all of it. Definitely try this place out of you haven't been here before. Staff was also very nice.
Was very disappointed by Syrup after wanting to try it for months. Ordered 3 entrees and beignets. Nothing tasted fresh. I know it’s hard to get fresh fruit in Colorado this time of year but it all tasted rotten
The service was great! Drinks were great. Food was okay. Don’t order the Maryland Benedict, you’ll pay 17$ for a plate of the worlds smallest crab cakes and a plate of tater tots loaded underneath. We wouldn’t wouldn’t spend our money there again.
I enjoyed this place. It was my first time. Price was very affordable. No complaints on food. Parking wasn't bad to find. Seated right away , no wait. Will go back again.
We loved our breakfast! The pancakes were the best!Marcus was our server, he had such an amazing vibe and service skills. We will be back, thank you Marcus!
The food was above average, not great or fantastic. Service was fast and very good. The cost was way out of proportion. Don't substitute here! Subbed a croissant for a muffin, $2. Subbed fruit for tots, $2. $4 pancake became $7 for a dozen blueberries. And the very fine small nearly illegible print on the electronic menu is each check adds % for minimum wage so none of the prices listed on the menu are the prices. So what my mind was tracking as about $35 was a $60+ bill for some eggs and hash for 2 + a pancake. Not worth that for only good food. There are other better breakfast joints within a few blocks that are better and cheaper.
