This is my new go-to ice cream shop. The guy working was friendly and let me taste all the flavors. I ended up getting a waffle Sunday and loved it!
Screw waiting on the lines at Little Man & Sweet Cow…only 2 people ahead of us and Whirlybird had the best vegan flavor options of the 3. Delicious too! Will be back
The 5 star reviews are well earned. The owner was the only person working there and she was super friendly. She was cool with us trying several samples which didn't make the decision about what to get any easier as it was all really good! The chocolate dipped waffle cone was fresh too. Definitely check out Whirlybird, I mean, really, with a fun name like that, how can you not want to go!

I got a vanilla shake and I asked the awesome guy working there to add just a bit of chocolate fudge…and that was the best shake I’ve ever had.
I came here to try the vegan flavors (I wasn’t feeling sweet cow’s vegan flavors this evening) and my husband wanted to see what all this waffle business was about. Definitely ? on both fronts! I had the vegan brownie batter - it tasted exactly like the bowls of brownie batter I used to inhale with my sisters while sitting on the kitchen floor when we were young (pro tip: if you also enjoy eating brownie batter en masse, make two batches of brownies. This way, you can eat as much batter as you’d like and still have enough leftover to bake ?). Anyway, this spot is legit and we are so happy to have found it!! Oh also, for anyone who needs to know - the vegan flavor I had was made with a coconut-soy base ??
A great local neighborhood spot for ice cream! The salted golden Oreo flavor is top notch. Highly recommend.
I have to go once a week for a milkshake , so many combination options , everything goes well with Denver’s Best VanillaAnd the Whirley Sundaes are beyond 5 stars!!
