My husband and I have stopped in here twice in the past few months as our date night treat. It’s a little above average on price, but they make up for it with fantastic customer service and delicious ice cream flavors. As we aren’t vegan or vegetarian, we only get a vegan scoop of vanilla for our pup and he adores it! They have a bunch of different flavors for vegans and everyone else too. This is a great local place and I can’t wait to go back.
Have been quite few times over the last 1.5 years and tried a few pints as well. Their flavors always seem a bit off to me (today it was a weirdly salty and overly sweet strawberry sorbet). I really like to support local, and it's good they pay their employees well/ have a no tips policy. But, I have found more often than not I just don't love the flavor.
Actually thoroughly enjoyed this Ice Cream to the point we revisited twice. Do great malts and milkshakes as well and worth visiting if in the area for a cool snack!
I used to love Sweet Action. The vegan flavors are great and the chocolate is the best in the city. However, I went there last night and they have removed the ice cream display cases so you can't see the ice cream as you're ordering. They only had two employees working on a busy Friday night so the line was incredibly slow even though it wasn't long. The flavor I got which is usually good wasn't even that cold and it didn't seem like the original recipe. It was a little slimy instead of being dense. Removing the display cases is absurd and I hope that they reverse that and also go back to making good ice cream.
Really really really good!! And the ladies behind the counter working were fantastic. We had the whiskey brickle and mango. Definitely worthy of all the awards and accolades!
We enjoyed this place a lot because the flavors are unique and they are listed on their website! They have a variety of cookie sandwiches, Sundays and add in/ toppings. You can try the flavors before you pick them. They also do split scoops! Then you can pick to flavors for your one scoop, best of both worlds! The vanilla bean Madagascar was the best vanilla I’ve cream I’ve ever had in my life! (They get 4stars from me because they’re right off Broadway and parking is a tough one.)
I worked here for most of 2019 and overall thought it was great - great ice cream, selection, service, energy. Slightly overpriced but not at all outrageous for the area. The owners sold it in 2020 and it’s gone downhill in every way since. Went from 24 flavors to 12, ice cream is ok, hot fudge went from amazing to mediocre, and the prices are ridiculous, even with the no-tipping policy. All the personality the shop had before is gone. It’s not bad but used to be 100x better.
Every flavor I tried was so delicious but I ended up with a split of Whiskey Brickle and French Chocolate. I highly recommend both. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, even though I asked a million questions and tried about five flavors. Very excited to go back!
I'm here to tell you.... BEST ICE CREAM COOKIE SANDWICH I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!! The cookie was so soft with nice hard tasty ice cream in the middle. 10/10 must try so happy it was the last treat I tasted before I headed to the airport to depart from Denver. I also tasted their Honey Jalapeno Pickle flavored ice cream .... ummm (try it) lol not for me but unique taste.
So glad this has popped up on Gaylord! Unique flavors, yummiest ice cream and lots of vegan options. Great cheerful service and clean place. Our new favorite!
