The ladies that work here are extremely nice and make you feel like you're family! Homemade food!
First time ordering Togo here mid day on a Wednesday. The staff was helpful and guided me to a few items on the menu. Once I put in my order and paid, my order was packed within minutes. As I always enjoy dim sum on Sundays for brunch here, it was nice to have it for dinner as well.
I love dim sum. It's just such a shame that the only way to get traditional dim sum requires traveling across the city and waiting for a minimum of 45 minutes. I find this place is very good but I can't do it anymore. Too crowded. The building really needs a new ventilation system. It's hot and muggy in the restaurant. Good wait staff.
I understand that due to pandemic, this place might have been under staff and running down a lot. But as a customer who paid for the food and service, I feel like I must write this review, and hope this can make a difference, to their quality of food and customer service.First of all, the price. For dim sum, the ones with $2.68 shown here on Google map are all $4.95 on the menu in the store. So don’t look the menu posted here(unless they update it).Secondly, one of our orders was this steamed pork ribs. It’s very chewy, the meat won’t come off the bone. I know as long as it’s cooked, it doesn’t have to come off the bone. But the point is, it’s still pink inside (see image)!!!!!!!! I asked the server and she told me that’s cooked, and it’s pink bcz the marination, which is normal. Totally nonsense! And make it sound like we don’t know how to cook at home or the logic behind it…As Chinese, I love cooking this at home too!!!!! And we have been to other dim sum places where have awesome dim sums.Thirdly, the chicken lo main we ordered, some of the noodles are burned, so you can taste the burn when you eat it. Since the flavor of other ingredients and spices were very plain, the taste of burn ruined the whole dish. $12.95 with 4-5 pieces chicken in it, a little bit bean sprouts, some white onions, and green onions. One interesting thing is, I believe most people would understand as they might just need to do this to save the cost: the red solo cup for water…As it’s our first time seeing this, I really don’t know what to say…Last but not least, we don’t really like servers walking around among the tables so frequently and watch us while we are eating, when there’s no customer having questions or raising the hand for help…Most restaurants will have servers come by once a while and ask you the food is good or not. But the servers here, they just slowly walk around so frequently, look at you, then continue walking…
We've been coming here for years, so we have our favorite dishes that we always eat. Our bill is usually around $150. Today was $120 and this is what we had: 1 chicken feet, 1 tofu roll with mushroom, 2 sesame balls (3 pieces each), 1 seaweed, 1 cold cucumbers, 1 dumpling, 1 tripe, and 1 special order of stir fried beef with pasta. This place used to be packed at the weekends and you had to arrive early to get a table, but now it's half full only. I think it's because of the price.
Good food but fewer variety. There were only 3 dim sum carts roaming around. You can order non- dim sum food though if they are on their regular menu. It wasn't crowded at all for Monday lunch service.Three adults and one 10yo there and we spent $98 (include 20% tip). I think that's a little expensive for the regular dim sum they served.
Don't recommend unless you know the language, you will be ignored. Was our first time, no one wanted to explain how to order, kept just showing us plates and half the fried dumplings were cold. Ended up being very expensive and we were very unsatisfied.
They have a huge space and persist on clumping everyone tightly together. Wait staff don't seem to know what table/s they serve, never come without flagging them down. One of our sides came out after we were done and the food is maginal..not a gotta go back experience or food spot.
You haven't lived until you've had their egg custard buns and pea vines in garlic sauce. The menu consists of more traditional Chinese fare served in a relaxed atmosphere. Their weekend Dim Sum provides a great opportunity to sample a number of tasty choices.
I love this place. When I am in the area I always think of dropping by. Very good dim sum. Worth the drive from Boulder when you want a good meal off a trolley... Their regular Chinese food is good too.
