Food is amazing! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is I ordered 2 of the same dish with different spice levels. 1 was medium and 1 was extra spicy. They weren't marked ony to go order. Had to test them to find out what was what.Either way I'll for sure be back!
Just wow. The portion sizes are huge! Everything here was spectacular. I am a huge General Tso Chicken fan, and this was comfortably the best dish of this variety I've ever had in my life! My friend that came with us (who is Vietnamese) agreed it was the best Chinese food she's ever had in her life as well!
Ordered take out and was ready fast. Very polite staff and Clean restaurant. However, I ordered the chicken fried rice. I tend to order it at all Asian cuisine places, and it's rarely bad. But this was definitely one of the bad ones unfortunately. From the first bite the texture and flavor was off. Mushy rice and a very sweet flavor. Almost like the rice was cooked with peanut butter or some sort of sugary ingredient.Ended up giving to my brother who eats everything in sight! But surprisingly he said the same thing... "Whats up with that rice?"So I will not be returning to spicy Basil.
Used to be a really chill spot for affordable Thai food with a really expensive menu. Looks like they made some changes recently, the menu is a lot smaller and upped the prices. I was mainly disappointed they no longer have summer rolls (spring rolls with rice paper/not fried).Luckily they still have the Thai curry noodles which are amazing!It's a fun spot on weekends to sit out and people watch on Broadway.

was hesitant to come here due to poor reviews, but am glad I did. Ordered Orange Chicken, it was fabulous. Crispy, very crispy and there were orange peels in it adding to the flavor. Lots of broccoli too. Will definitely return and the price was so reasonable! Great place.
Great little place tucked in among the other restaurants on South broadway. Prices are very reasonable and the quantity of food you get unless you're super hungry you will take home a little bit to have for later. Have never had a bad experience with the quality of food. Please call and check the restaurant is closed one day during the week.
Tried to order basic menu items for delivery and they doubled the price on me. Tropical fried rice 10.95. One order of spring rolls 3.50. One order of coconut shrimp 7.95. That's a total of like 21$ 22$ not 45$ which is what they just tried to charge me. ? wow. Poor service. Can't believe they just tried to make me pay double for my order. Scammers.
This Hass to be the bigger is best known secret!! Their presentation is out of this world and I’ve never seen anything like it! Never too busy which is amazing considering the quality of food but the service is extremely fast and the food is absolutely delicious!! Very authentic.
Love the food at Spicy Basil. It's my go-to for either outdoor seating (really lovely, closed in by beautiful purple curtains), indoor seating a little tight, or pick up (fast pick up).My favorite Peppered Lime Shrimp covered w/ vegetables and sauce. Choice of rice. Usually 12 shrimp enough for two meals.Need to order it right now.Enjoy!
