Best hockey bar in Denver! If you’re a Colorado Avalanche fan, make this your go-to. Great good. Great drinks. Celebrating the best sport. It can get quite busy and if it’s the playoffs, let alone the finals, get there early. Hours early! But it’s worth it.
Authentic semi-divey Czech hockey bar with 3 nice pool tables, some outdoor seating, and very delicious food (serious, authentic yumminess). They play all hockey games so definitely a good bar to catch them. I would give 4 stars for having limited types of beer, but it's all Czech beer so that's just personal preference on my part.
This is a great place to watch an Avalanche game, great crowd, AMAZING staff. True was the waitress for our side of the bar and she was on it all night long. Definitely looking forward to coming back again
AMAZING!! My wife is from Czech Republic and to find a Czech style restaurant/ Bar we were Thrilled!The bartender/waitress was a Very Kind Slovakian girl whom served us Goulash and Topinky which were authentic and DELICIOUS!Will Return
Met a friend here to try the Czech food-was a bit apprehensive when I realized it was a bar. Very friendly staff, and the “friendlydaybarman” made our visit entertaining. Just sorry I didn’t know about the place sooner. Seems like a great local bar- just wish it was closer to MY home.
Beef Goulash was delicious and very tender. Sauce was so good that I forked up a bunch of it after I finished. It was so good wish there was more to eat on the plate. Excellent experience
One of my favorite places to go when I'm in Denver. If you are an avid hockey or soccer fan your game will always be on! It may be a sports bar, but the food is far superior to any neighborhood bar. I'm pretty sure the garlic cheese spread will keep you healthy for a full season. I've had pretty much everything on the menu, and have never been disappointed. Will always come back to Sobo.
Food was good, but could be better. I would like to see more offerings from Czech as well as much Czech theming. Prices were a smidge high for what you got for food too, ie quality and quantity. That said, atmosphere is fun, nice to see some draft Czech beer. Staff was more acquainted with bar than kitchen but we're friendly. Definitely catered more to simply watching hockey and drinking beer than for food and drink but that's ok.
Always a great time at SoBo 151 especially during an Avalanche game. Great crowd and great food. Reminds me of the 3 Czech exchange students we've hosted every time I go there. ???
We had the kibasi and beef goulash. Both were excellent. Cucumber salad was so tasty. Great place to try new food and have great margaritas.
