It was perfect for what we needed, a light meal after we drove down from Frisco. The two of us split and order of lamb sliders and the gnocchi. The ginger lemonade was spectacularly refreshing. Just a wonderful, low key dining experience.

We were able to get same day patio reservation. Service was excellent and non- intrusive. Our small plates and cocktails couldn't have been tastier.

I've been to Root Down perhaps a dozen times in the past 5 years and it never disappoints. The food is always fabulous, as is the service. On 8/8, my friend and I celebrated her birthday. Our server, Bri, was outstanding.
Easily one of the best meals that I've ever had. It wasn't inexpensive, but it was delicious. Not sure where the photo is of our other entrée, but the lamb sliders (we shared them as an appetizer) were great (we ordered them medium [should have been either rare, or medium rare). The other dish is fish, prepared with veggies in a curry sauce. Not pictured is a tofu dish (I am usually not a tofu fan) was phenomenal. Easily my favorite of everything we ordered. The meal was quite rich, so nothing to report on the desert front. Appetizer, two entrées, no drinks - $82.00 (without tip). Did I mention it was one of the best meals that I've ever had!?
My husband and I wanted to keep it casual but fun for our first anniversary dinner and Root Down made the entire evening so special! Service was AMAZING, food was delicious and the added touches were so memorable. Thank you so so much for the sweetest date night
Havenât been back to Root Down in years. The food was wonderful and the service was great. I never felt rushed and had a very enjoyable brunch.

The scallops were well-prepared and full of flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed the honey zucchini cake topped with cream cheese ice cream.
