Experience was not pleasant. Placed an o li e order for a dinner party. Paid $115.00 and waited hour and a half for my order. ETA was 15 - 20mins. Food was cold by the time we got home. Pupusas were mixed in containers. Poor service, need to have more staff. Several customers waiting several left upset because they continued to say " your order will be up in a few mins" when in reality it was more than a 45min wait for them. I will not go back again. Do not recommend. Poor service.
Way over priced for what you get. We got the Pupusas Birrias and there wasn’t even meat in them, just cheese… Aren’t they supposed to be “birria” pupusas?? Also the consume was plain, no cilantro or onion in it or anything. We also got tacos de pastor, which were $3.00 each and they were TINY!!Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place or come again.
Have come to this place since before it even existed, as this is the 4th restaurant I've seen at this location. Until recently I'd recommend this place to anyone in south Denver, but the last two times I've been here I clearly ordered the carne asada pupusa, and instead received cheap shredded beef instead. Spoke with others about it, we frequent the nearby game store, and the general consensus amongst the shop is that their quality overall has dropped significantly in recent months. This lastest incident, the food was so bad I ended up tossing it out, they aren't just switching out the ingredients, they are using noticeabley bad quality meat, worse than Taco Bell or Del Taco. I and many other gamers will not be back again.
OK so I got a caldo de res (beef soup) and it didn't look like the picture. It had a weird smell and too much lime. The beef was super hard. So I told the lady that took our order, I didn't like it. She just said ,"oh: and walked away . My husband had ordered tacos, which according to him were really good, after he had a few, he ordered more, so I asked her if I can sometimes else instead of the soup and she said I could but I had to pay. She said she couldn't exchange it or refund me. My son's ordered pupusas and they were ok. I think the service was bad, tacos good, pupusas ok and the beef stew/soup was horrible.
Food was good but compared to rollercoaster of value five customers all year. Midget portions no all you can drink midgets seen. Got two tacos and a soda for ten bucks in small flour tortillas...value didn't measure up. Keno for stolen food stamps illegal in Denver now Bob. Lotto EOS.
Went for birria tacos - only sell on Sunday and you have to get there early before they sell out. Took the order to go but it was still delicious - great cheese to meat ratio and a very generous serving of consome. Also tried the bean & cheese and carne pupusas. Very happy! Next time I’m trying the margaritas!
Today I went to buy pupusas and they didn't have any food, it was just the tortilla, I bought a chicken soup but it was ruined and I had to throw it away I won't go to this place again nor do I recommend it the food is horrible... if I buy something it's because I can comment and do not serve this food. very bad food.? Hoy fui a comprar pupusas y no tenian comida solo era la tortilla compre un caldo de pollo pero estaba arruinado y lo tuve que tirar no volvere a ir a este lugar ni lo recomiendo es que la comida es horrible... si compro algo es porque puedo comentar y no sirvo esta comida. No lo recomiendo la comida muy mala
The food is good, but I've had repeated issues with this store with both Pickup and Delivery orders via DoorDash. Some issues have been DoorDashes fault but some lie with the restaurant and no one will give me my money back. Go in person, don't order online.
I have tried many pupusas in my lifetime and these are some of the best. I look for three things that make exceptional pupusas: fluffy not flat, lots of cheese and delicious cortido (pickled cabbage topping.) These pupusas met and exceeded all three.
The bomb.com ?I got the pastor pupusas and they were amazing ?The food was authentic, customer service was on point and the food was priced great! I’d recommend anyone who wants authentic Central American food to come check these guys out ??
