Hate to give 1 star so gave 5 but want to let the leadership know, service was very slow considering its at an airport. Food was hot but extremely greasy and not sure why the eggs were so salty. Bacon was not crispy and again very greasy the potatoes were not pan cooked they were deep fried… greasy. Croissant was so small and of cheap quality considering its a french restaurant. Only good thing was the initial coffee but when it was refilled it was lukewarm. Just lack of care for guest paying to enjoy a good sit down meal before a trip.
The Salmon Dip and their Chicken Vegetable Soup were quick and tasty lunch-time favorites (we had no trouble getting served and to our boarding gate on time)!
Nothing was good in this restaurant / experience! 1) I arrived at 7 am, in an empty restaurant, and they assigned me the smallest table, so i asked - as the restaurant was litterally empty - if i could have a table for 4 pp. They declined saying that it was for 4 ... and even though i told them "yes, but your restaurant is empty right now ..." they replied the restaurant will be full at one point. It has never been! 2) I asked for the "assorted pastries" ... where you expect at least 2-3 of them as it says "assorted" and they put an "s" on this! Wrong! They just serve you one! I picked the chocolate croissant, that i asked to be warmed. The plate came not cold (but could not say warm. I think they just put it 5 sec in the micro wave!) while the chocolate croissant was all cold! And this was not even a real chocolate croissant! This is crazy for them to use a name and serve something that does not taste like it at all. 3) at 8.45 am, the waitress, really rudely, suddenly told me "tables are only for an hour" ... while still the restaurant was not full .... how polite! So exverything was bad in this experience: the service and the quality of the food! Never again!!!
I travel through Denver International 3 to 4 times a month and Pour La France is my favorite place to eat regardless of the time of day. My favorite is their French Toast which I highly recommend and the servers are always friendly wether you sit at the bar or a table. My only negative comment is about their Hostess named Sammi(?) who is in desperate need of a personality along with some training on welcoming customers. Twice this week I came in for breakfast (Sunday 6/5 and Saturday 6/11) and on the 5th I asked for a table and Sammi but all the 2-tops were filled however there were two open 4-tops. However, Sammi said I could wait for 20-minutes or sit at the bar. Ok I understand but when a customer asks for a table he should be given a table. On 6/11 I asked for a table and Sammi took me to a table and said is her flat line voice that the kitchen was backed up and that it would be 45-minutes. I had time so I got my laptop out to get some work done and as i was unpacking… my server took my order but before I got my PC open my French Toast arrived (8-minutes tops)…not 45-minutes. I’ll be back but to me a Hostess sets the costumers level of expectation and if I wasn’t familiar with Pour La France I would have gone to Elway’s.
I often eat at Pour La France when traveling out of Denver. The food is pretty good with American-sized portions. Although the restaurant was extremely busy and I had to sit at the bar instead of a table the service was wonderful. Brie and John were attentive and efficient in spite of how busy they were. All in all it was a pleasant experience.
Genuinely surprised at how good the food was for being in an airport. We were seated quickly and the service was efficient and friendly. We had the Nutella crepes and the yogurt parfait, both of which we would order again. The restaurant was also surprisingly spacious for being in an airport. There was plenty of room around for our carry on luggage without crowding others or obstructing the wait staff.
Anthony was our waiter...great service. I had a glass of bubbling rose'...dry and delicious. My husband ended up with the red blend, as they were out of the Bordeaux. We ordered the melted brie...very nice with our wine. A perfect snack before getting on our plane!
My husband and son ordered burgers, so good my son wanted another (but that would just have been too much food). I ordered tomato soup, it was OK. My melted brie with apples, grapes, and bread ? ??We will definitely eat here again when we are in the Denver Airport.
Do not waist your time. When you think french, croissant and cappuccino spring to mind. This was terrible. Then the omelet was average. Not a french cafe!
Sunrise breakfastIt was good but nothing out of the ordinary and some potatoes weren't not cooked properly. To my understanding of the menu It was more American than French but maybe it's because it was breakfast.Overall staff was Ok but no more than 3 stars.
