BEST BBQ! Order at the counter, seat yourself. Employees were very quick and friendly. Amazing food. Perfect portions. Nice Texas decoration.
Stopped in on a whim for an afternoon session of Day Drinking. Enjoyed the Bartender Entertainment ad "Dad Jokes". And stayed for Friday afternoon Burnt Ends!! The drinks were refreshing, the food fantastic and the company was great!! Highly recommend!!
Way too SALTY ! !From the salty hand cut fries, to the nicely barky smoked brisket, salt, even the chopped pork belly pieces in the mac and cheese and the spare ribs, everything was way over salted, salted to the point of not being enjoyable, which is a shame, because the meat quality was actually good. The ribs they called "St Louis" cut were not, instead they're full on spares with the brisket (tips) still atop, so there's actually more meat than a St. Louis, which is good, and they were cooked tug off the bone perfectly. The sausage, was loose, not firm, and seemed more like chorizo. Service was okay we mentioned the salty food, they seemed ambivalent about it, and overall the prices are definitely a bit high.
best barbecue in Denver hands down. We got a bit of everything to try it all out. The gooey cake cornbread dessert is unreal and the closest thing I’ve had to a butter cake since moving out here. Barbecue itself was so smoky and cooked to perfection. Their mac and cheese was exceptional. Potato salad and baked beans were ok but would try different sides next time. Sausage link was interesting. Really loved their pulled pork sandwich and the brisket.
Concur with some of the other reviews regarding the pricing (we offset this by purchasing the gift cards from Costco). The brisket was tender and flavorful (not too salty either, which is problematic for some places). The fries were as noted below, soggy, but tasty. Overall the food was very good, but almost too rich to finish. We found the service folks very polite and friendly.
Great BBQ friendly service will be going back for sure
Great food and service! Definitely reminds us of Texas bbq!
I cannot say enough positive things about Post Oak. Nick (the owner) has done such an awesome job with the place. The staff is always incredibly friendly. The meat and side selections are great. And the food itself… just wow. Every time I go it feels like a special treat. Best BBQ in Denver!
Unbelievable. We found this place from a gift card promotion at Costco and thank goodness we did. We have been there several times now, and all three times the food has been amazing. Our favorites are the ribs and brisket. Perfectly tender and well seasoned. Mac and cheese is a must. Staff is friendly, helpful and the restaurant itself is clean and modern. We will be lifelong customers!
Overpriced especially for the service and atmosphere. The Beef ribs were tender but way overpriced for what you get. The French fries were soggy, the fried okra underdone, and the collards were swimming in vinegar. If you're from Texas don't waste your time here, this is no Salt Lick or County Line.
