You ever waltz into a place because you're insanely hungry at an unreasonable time and might be afraid it won't be that good but then it turns out to be absolutely incredible? This is that place.Everything about Pita Fresh was amazing. The gentleman at the counter was very helpful in helping me decide what to get, the restaurant was super clean, the prices were reasonable, and the food was the absolute bomb. Seriously, this is some of the best chicken shawarma I've ever had! This is a hidden gem that's open 'til late, I might stop by here again next time I'm in Denver.
I would rather eat at McDonald's than here. The food was so bad I tossed half of it. The only redeemable quality of the food was the fries and garlic sauce (toum) which were excellent. The manager, who was serving me, was super nice and friendly, but he was very disorganized and un-focused. It took nearly an hour to prepare grilled chicken, even though I ordered shawarma (there were no shawarma stands). The MANAGER forgot to prepare my food until I came up to check 45 minutes in; I was one of two customers. Eat here if you are looking to wait for ages and wonder if it was worth it. I've never left such a poor review, and it saddens me to do so.
Based on high praise from folks at my job, I decided to order 20 individual lunches. I can say at this time, it was a bit too much for them because they also had to deal with the regular lunch crowd. Imagine having delivered 20 plus white styrofoam containers and foil wraps with no labels of what food is in what. Fortunately the folks who ordered knew what their food looked like for I would not have a clue. However it's not ideal to have folks opening and looking in each container to determine what was theirs. If the restaurant could have at least put the menu item number on the container it would have helped. When they are able to label and customize and accommodate large orders, I think they will be very successful.Overall folks enjoyed the food and I am sure many will check the place for themselves since its so close to the job.
This is the 'only' place that knows how to make chicken shawarma. Just like back in Egypt. Sorry other Middle Eastern restaurants but I found my go to place. Definitely incredible! ?
Good lunch. Go early portions are smaller than similar places.
Friendly staff, good portions for price and food was done well.
Amazing local family owned and run restaurant. Now they have the same menu and hours as the original location by University! They have the same head chef for both locations so the food is consistent whether you visit this location or the original. High quality made from scratch halal food with generous portions, it is hands down the best place to order food any time of day - even late night or to cater from. They cater for offices, family dinners and weddings - even cooking off-menu special orders.
Great flavor, great service, if you're near downtown and like Mediterranean food definitely as must !!!
