This place is so good!!! Their entrees are really fresh and delicious (You know some Chinese restaurants have rubbery meat, unrecognizable veggies because they are overcooked, with overpowering sauce...but not this place!!) Hands down, this place is the best Chinese cafe in Denver. Also, all the staff members were so nice. It's unbelievable to see people leaving 1 star for paying $1 more than they expected for their meal to small business dealing with this turbulent economy. I think we should show some grace for their website not being updated. Honestly, their portion sizes were big (excited to eat my leftovers for lunch :) and their prices were very fair. Highly recommend!

The food was fantastic but the service was even better! Peter is a legend to have the joint going for 37 years! This was my first time there but I saw so many customers who were repeat. Ask Peter for recommendations in the menu! We did and weren't disappointed.

This smelled AMAZING when we got it, like I didn’t even want to wait until I got home to eat it. I got home, and was super disappointed. The sesame chicken was no sauce on top and too much on bottom and the texture was weird, the fried rice was super bland, and the wontons had a grainy consistency. I’d honestly rather get dollar scoop and spend 1/4 of what I spent for better Chinese food

Peter himself was working tonight! This restaurant puts out great food. Even if there is a bit of a wait, it is well worth it. They have a great selection of menu items. My group ordered a couple chicken plates and a couple beef plates and chicken fried rice, and everything was very good. Portion sizes are reasonable for the price.

Been going here for years and for good reason, Peter’s never disappoints! Excellent service, takeout is always hot and fresh (even when I drive 30 mins back home to eat it) and the entire menu is delicious. We love the Mongolian beef, the sesame chicken, and the wonton soup. You can also tell that Peter’s uses very high quality meat in his dishes, it’s always so tender, seasoned to perfection, and delicious. The owner is a great guy and is a gem in and of himself. Definitely gives you the small neighborhood feel in the heart of Denver.

Very good Chinese food at a reasonable price. And don’t mess with Peter - he is quirky and fun and opinionated and not-reasonable when he’s in the mood. Peter’s is not for the sensitive (in any political direction) or the chain restaurant crowd. Let Peter be Peter and you will keep going back for yummy Chinese food.Employs East High kids to take orders/cashier and has been in the hood for 20ish years. Support local.

I had the general Tao chicken and veggie egg rolls they were both really good. Food was really fresh and was done really quick! Only bummer is there’s no dine in and cash only! Other than that it was great!

Placed my order, and seemed like the owner either had a mind-blank or purposely didn't mention my order to the cooks. He took multiple phone and walk in orders after mine that he did announce to his cooks. Those orders obviously came out before mine and I ended up waiting for 25 min before he told his cooks he was needing my items for my order.Egg roll super tinyChicken and brox has no sauce or seasoningBBQ pork is decent

Wonderful. It has been a delight for three generations of our family. Such a great meal always. My grandchildren love the white meat chicken fried rice. Enjoy dinner with Peters. And thank you for a valuable and tasty meal always.

Peter's is so dang good! The sesame chicken is a standout but I'd say everything else I've tried from here is a cut above as well. The beef in hot garlic sauce I had tonight had a light and flavorful sauce that was more vinegary than sweet and had several interesting undertones- a layered symphony of flavor compared to the one-dimensional, over-thickened sugary brown glop you get in the beef dishes from most other Chinese places around here. The pieces of beef were bigger too, and the vegetables fresher. Worth going out of your way for!
