This place was so good!!!! I mean everything from it being very clean, quick friendly service, to excellent tasting food! We were seated right away. The restaurant didn't have any windows in the front so everything was open and it was really very nice! Pricing was fair for the amount of food you got, the portions were pretty big. Flavors in the food were good, and our family loved it!! The Thai Chilli beef was very spicy though! I love spicy food but dang it was hot! I couldn't eat it, took it home for my husband lol. We will definitely come back here though!!
Ordered Thai chili beef for dinner, no kidding, it’s the spiciest one I’ve had in the US and I like it! Be aware when you order spicy food here, it’s REAL Thai chili.
It was time I write a review for this restaurant because the food is consistently delicious . This is the best shrimp fried rice in Denver !!! The shrimp are always large and plump and they never short change you on the number they give you ! I usually order takeout and honestly all the dishes are authentically tasty. The food is hot when it arrives and the ingredients are always fresh . This will always be my go-to Chinese in the city ! Good job Pepper Asian Bistro, keep up the great work
My family was extremely satisfied with our first visit to this restaurant. We had great customer service from our server Annie. The food came out very fast, and it was delicious. It didn’t look or taste rushed. We had some of the best orange chicken and beef and broccoli we’ve ever had. This all came at a great lunch special price too. Thanks for being so awesome for our first visit to Denver!
There was one review that worried me (said there was a bug in the food and there was a picture!), but I decided that it could be un-true, so I tried it.My food was very good, well portioned, and made fairly quickly. I will most likely eat here again!
This place has been around for a few years and has always looked intriguing to me with its elegant, black awnings and large, tinted windows. I walk past it constantly (on my way to the local Starbucks!), but have never chosen to stop in. My friend was dying for a noodle dish and it's right in our neighborhood, so this seemed like the perfect time to give it a try.The first room is cute with a tiny bar, a striking stone wall, and a few tables. The larger, second room is pretty drab with tables on one side and booths on the other. I was hoping for a little more elegance, but we were seated in a large booth that was comfortable and reasonably private. We started with the potstickers. These came out almost instantly--within 30 seconds of ordering. The sauce was good and the dumplings were very flavorful, but whatever scheme the kitchen used to keep them at temperature did have an effect. The dough was a little tough and lacked the unctuous mouth feel of a cooked-from-scratch product. A little disappointing.I then had a cup of wonton soup. This was delicious. Full of flavor and full of the little dumplings, more than I've ever seen in a bowl of this soup. It was great. My friend ordered the Lo Mein combo which came with a mix of proteins, I believe beef, chicken, and shrimp. I had the Happy Family which is, I confess, an Americanized "Chinese" dish featuring chicken, beef, shrimp, and scallops in a brown sauce with a variety of vegetables. Well, I like it, even if it's not at all authentic. The main dishes arrived barely warm. It was a chilly night and the restaurant was not that warm, either, nor had the plates been heated, so the food was cold pretty quickly. So was my tepid "hot" tea which I sent back. The second cup was much warmer, which I appreciated. You are apparently allotted only one cup of tea per meal at this restaurant as my (generous) cup came out without an accompanying pot and I was never offered a refill. My friend enjoyed her noodle dish and the proteins were nicely prepared. I was not as happy with my Happy (?) Family. Again, the proteins were generous and well-cooked, but all of the vegetables were extremely al dente. The green beans were totally raw and very hard to eat. The other components were beyond crunchy. I took most of the dish home and re-cooked the vegetables before eating the leftovers. This place has a lot of promise, but the decor and execution leave much to be desired.
I used to rely on this place as it's less than a block from where I live. Tonight I stood waiting for my takeout order an hour and a half later than was told. Watched numerous people get their orders before me, people give their order to the counter and get their order before mine. Asked numerous times if there was an issue but was only told it was busy. When I finally got home with the food it was less than acceptable. Chicken lo mein was literally just plain spaghetti noodles, my other dish had 10% protein 90% onion. Both were spongy and tasteless. Won't be back again.
I try and try new Chinese or Asian restaurants trying to find something comparable to Red Coral. If you ever ate at Red Coral before they closed a while back ago, you know there isn’t anything in the greater Denver are that comes close. That place was a special place. Still to this day I have never had egg rolls that good. That being said, Pepper Asian Bistro is pretty dang good. I don’t know if anything will ever come close to Red Coral but this place is worth a try. I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be back for more delicious meals. Got the sesame chicken this time but am excited to try other options.
Great food and a great dine in option during nice weather. They have industrial doors that open for an open air concept. Tons of gluten free options.I’ve been here twice and both times had a wonderful, kind, and gluten knowledgeable server.I’ve ordered Pas See Lew, Pad Thai, Green Curry, Spring Rolls, and Fried Tofu. All dishes highly recommend and I look forward to trying their other gluten free options.
One of my favorite bistros in Denver! I never noticed this restaurant on Colfax before, but I am glad I tried. The food and aesthetic are fantastic. I would recommend coming here at night. Also, their lunch prices are spectacular, by the way. I will definitely come again.
