We chose this place because it is right next to the Wings over Rockies where we had an event at 9:15. Arrived at 7:30 but didn't get greeted or water until 7:44. Ordered drinks and an appetizer. We got the appetizers before our drinks (no biggie) but the waitress never came by to see how anything was. She then took the plate before we were done. Got our entrees which were lukewarm. At 8:35, I figured I had time for one more drink. I watched for the waitress for 20 minutes. When she finally came into our section, she totally ignored us. I had to go to the bar at 8:55 to order another drink. It was painful service for the prices they charge. I don't mind at all paying 21% as a service tip, but if it is predetermined, what incentive does the waitstaff have to provide good service? They can do the bare minimum really. I had to go get my own drink after 20 minutes of being ignored and still had to tip her for it. I'm all for living wages, but if I'm gonna foot the bill, I'd like to feel like I'm getting what I pay for. If you want an actual nice, fancy dinner, I can recommend way better places for that amount of money.
Absolutely loved this place. We sat at the bar as there were no seats available at any of the tables. We got great service and got to watch the bartenders/mixologist make some amazing mixed drinks. I had the prime rib sandwich and it was very very good. First time there and will definitely go back again.
Love Officer's Club & have picked it up almost weekly since discovering their gourmet wild mushroom grilled cheese & tomato soup. The ambiance is great dining in, staff always friendly & on top of it.However, I went in yesterday & the grilled cheese is off the summer menu. Not. Cool. My last server promised they would not kick it off. Thought about stealing a mini cast iron as ransom until they bring it back but figured a grilled cheese isn't worth a felony....or is it?Seriously, I tried recreating the wild mushroom grilled cheese & even made a lemon oil for the tomato soup, but it's simply not as good as Officer's Club. I was very sad & disappointed my go-to favorite is no longer available. Please. Bring. It. Back. Not in the fall, now. Pretty please.P.S. We just realized the last two times we dined in, we forgot about the automatic 21% service fee & tipped 25% on top of that accidentally. They have written notes on tables, but it's easy to miss, especially on those super tiny round tables after a few margaritas. Opps, but glad to support a local favorite :)
What a wonderful hideaway. This place has a wonderful atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. Had brunch here and after looking over the menu, I can’t wait to come back and experience it again. Everything is on point. Food was wonderful with generous portions and the drinks were great. Full bar looks exciting. Thanks to everyone that made my morning.
The chicken fingers and prime ribs are really good.
Love the drinks. The smoky old fashioned is soooo good. Service is very good and attentive. Would definitely be back!
I’ve been here for a couple dinners and also for happy hour. The food is great. I really like the avocado toast. The mushroom grilled cheese with a tomato basil bisque is the ultimate comfort food.
Place is a bit out of the way and hidden in the back corner of a strip mall. Entrance looks "secret" and decor inside is cool and subdued. Which means not enough light to read the menu when your eyesight is not exactly 100%. I needed to use the flash light to read it. I find this detracts greatly from the experience.Another disappointment was that by 7:30 pm on a Saturday night they had run out of the Prime Rib which was the special of the day. That is incomprehensible to me, to run out of a special of the day that early. I replaced it with the 1/2 rack of ribs and it was very good: plenty of meat, well seasoned and with a very good kale salad.Last gripe and disappointment is this written notice they give you with the menu explaining that they charge a mandatory 21% (!) service fee. But you can add an extra tip for your server if you want! Really? We didn't experience that at all at other restaurants on 16th street for example and whatever that notice says, there is no good reason to implement it under the guise of a requirement by the city of Denver. It's over guys, let's go back to normal and reasonable. That said, the lady up front and the manager went graciously out of their way to relocate us to a more comfortable table for us. Thank you for that.
The food was excellent, i don't usually eat kale, but had the kale salad as a side and loved it. The cocktails were awesome, especially the smoked ones. Will definitely go back.
Ok, I was so hungry, I only got a picture of my friends' plate in passing (the Prime Rib which was like, almost mooing with how rare it was, but he loved it! And yeah, I know, that's typical). It has been proclaimed that they will be returning every Saturday for Prime Rib, y'all be warned!)I had the fish special and I think it was like "parrot fish" or something like that and it was a flaky white fish that was succulent yet also had a nice crisp to the outside. Served with broccolini (one of my faves). We also had the artichoke crab dip which was just a touch too watery BUT the flavor was fab and the bread crostinis were so flavorful and cronch-cronch crunchy. Not sure how often they have live music but the piano performer was great and just the right touch to make it seem like it was just a normal saturday night (ya know, with the pandemic and all)Speaking of which, the staff are all fully masked - THANK YOU!
