We had the wonderful server Mandee, who was attentive and delightful. My husband and I were celebrating him publishing his book and finishing the 14ner pyramid. We got the garlic bread and sausage. Apparently they make the sausage at this restaurant. I want to try it with ravioli next (which I also hear they make their own home made pasta at this restaurant, gonna try that next time. I got the soup of the day, it was delightful. Then I got the mignon with mushrooms. The mushrooms were delicious, I'm a big mushroom fan. We love this place because it's so close to our home. I also like their drink selection. They have mojitos! Hats off to the great chef and service! We will be coming back
Such a fabulous place!!! We were driving to a different restaurant and saw Mickeys and decided to go here instead. The girls at the front were so nice and told us that since it was our first time we get a sampler appetizer. They brought us samples of all the things they make and they were so yummy. The food was so good too. They make their clam chowder and it actually had tons of clams in it and it was amazing. Our waitress was new but we didn’t even know because she was just great. The food was so good too. The manager was so nice helping me get one of their centerpieces since we were here for our anniversary. Thanks Mickeys for making our anniversary dinner so awesome.
It was a “slow” Friday for them but the menu and the prime rib were amazing. Highly recommend. Side note the prime rib is only served Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Omg! How do I start? Pretty clean, the waitress was so nice. Well everyone was very friendly. helpful. Now let me talk about the food. So yum. Good temperature. The steaks were nice juicy. And made to order. Highly recommend MTS!
This place was referred to us by a stranger in a hotel bar. She couldn't have given us a better suggestion! Very informal atmosphere. Good food for excellent prices. Wonderful service.
What a gem! Great food and outstanding service! Our server, Shelley, was attentive, knowledgeable and delightful. I had the rib eye. It was done perfectly. My son had the marinated sirloin. It was as tender as many filets I have had. The baked potatoes were garnished with butter, cheese and bacon! The prices were more than fair.
A real hidden gem!! We were randomly tooling around looking for a place to eat, and Mickey's popped up in our search. Drawn in by the neon lights and the promise of steak, we decided to pop in and we were pleasantly surprised!!It's definitely a no frills establishment, but the menu is comprehensive with just about every plate available you could think to order. Something for everyone! There's a bar to hang out if you are alone, or booths / high tops for friends with lots of TV's if there happens to be a game on.As first timers, we were greeted with a small complimentary plate of their meats and sauces to get a taste of some of the menu items. The staff was friendly, fast and very informative with helping us make our decision, even making personal recommendations to dishes that they enjoyed. We all went with the mid-rare steak sandwiches which came out quickly, cooked to the correct temperature and had tons of sides to choose from. The meal was priced very accommodatingly and was well worth the price we paid. We'll definitely be back to sample more on the menu, especially that prime rib! Glad we stopped in and took a chance on a little more obscure restaurant. See you soon!
My hubby decided to think outside the box for our 25th anniversary, and do something different. He made reservations for 8:00pm, at this way out of the way steakhouse in north Denver. It was perfect because the restaurant was just starting to quiet down for the evening. The atmosphere was pleasant, and so was our very cheerful, and on-top-of-it waitress. ? I had a glass of their Cabernet Sauvignon, and it went down smoooooth. Really excellent wine. We both ordered the NY strip. Medium rare. A baked potato and side salad. Both steaks were absolutely delectable. The strip was seasoned perfectly, and cooked beautifully. They broil the meat, which renders the fat, and adds some crispiness to the outer layer of beef, especially the fatty bits. O.M.G. ? They age their beef creating this very tender, and delicious cut that just melts in your mouth. The baked potato was fully loaded, cheddar cheese, fresh butter, and sour cream, and the outside crusted with just enough rock salt, to add a zip of flavor. The meal came fairly quickly, so I didn't get a chance to eat my salad, but I did dip into the blue cheese to accentuate my potato, and that was some damn good dressing. Jarrod Gavito is a long-time friend that is like family, and when he suggested this fabulous restuarant to my husband, he quickly agreed. Jarrod has always had this drive and heart that is so hard to find in people, so we knew his heart would be at Mickey's. He is now an owner, after working hard as a cook, to keeping this Denver icon alive. If you haven't tried this place, take some time, and go visit. It truly puts any of the chains purely to shame. The staff was so great. They made it a wonderful evening for my husband and I, and we are truly grateful.
Mickey's has been in business for over 50 years and there's good reason for that.I am not sure if I can find anything not to like here. They have plebtt of varied seating in a casual, and comfortable environment. They also have a big parking lot, and large variety of food from Italian classics to Mexican dishes, and of course steaks!!We recently came for lunch and had such a great experience. Antanette was the best server we have had in a while and the manager stopped by to check on us too. They have a marinated top sirloin which is a must. The marinade is different every day and usually only available after 4pm. However, you may get lucky if you are there for lunch so definitely inquire. The marinade the day I was there was Hawaiian, which was pineapple, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic. Delicious flavor that was just the right touch. I got the Mac and cheese for my side which was perfectly portioned and creamy. It also came with soup or salad. I got salad which came in a chilled bowl and was really fresh. My hubby got the lunch steak which was really great also and the seasoned steak fries. The cocktails here are reasonably priced too. I got an apple Manhattan for $8.50 and it was delightful. We will definitely be returning to try more of the menu. Maybe we will even check out the bocce court next time.
I had high hopes for this place. The place is a local favorite and I was really looking forward to dinner here. Unfortunately the service was lacking. I ordered a Kathy ultimate margarita and told our waiter that it can’t be sweet. He told me he would make sure it wouldn’t be . I got my margarita and it was like they poured a cup of sugar in it. I told the waiter and instead of asking if they could make it right he did nothing. The steaks were good but mine was undercooked. My boyfriend asked for fried jalapeños and was give 1 small Tiney jalapeño that was over $2.00. On top of that the menu had a black manic marker on top of all the menu prices and no way to know the price of your items. Kinda shady. I don’t recommend this place . Very disappointing.
