Absolutely best first time experience with this bakery. My friend had their cupcakes from a work function and was dying for more. So I surprised her with their cupcakes for her baby shower. They were perfect! Everyone loved them. Making the order over the phone being that I live in Florida was so easy. They called me the day of pickup as a reminder. Super friendly staff!
I didn't get a chance to get a good picture of our cake before the icing melted in the CO sun at our outdoor event, but the whole experience from ordering to picking up was phenomenal here. The cake was beautiful and I got SO many compliments from our guests about the flavor! Definitely will be our go to bakery from now on.
This was my first time trying their cupcakes. My 9 y.o. daughter and I were in Denver looking for something sweet. I LOVE that their wedding day cupcakes aren’t too sweet, I hate when places have that “Walmart bakery” tasting frosting. The frosting on those cupcakes tasted just like my own homemade Swiss meringue buttercream! A lot more stable too! I had a taste of the red velvet and the chocolate dream and they were amazing! The woman working the front was so nice and helpful!
Our little boy wanted a special cake for his school graduation. He got a red velvet cake with sprinkles. It was large enough ( their small size ) to feed 15 people and still have a little left. Tasted good for us having to have gluten free. the only pain is it's smack in the middle of downtown Denver. We are born and raised here, and even for us it's a pain to drive to.
Mermaids made a 40 bday party perfect with one cupcake of each flavor they had. One to satisfy every craving. I was surprised when every single bite was devoured because every bite was crave-able and rave-able
The cakes look delicious and the flavor profiles are unique and I'd love to try one day, but I didn't actually order any cakes. I called to politely ask a question about delivery and the man who answered the phone was so rude that I decided to go somewhere else. He actually hung up the phone on me without saying anything after he answered my question. This wasn't like a Karen situation - I genuinely just (pleasantly) asked about the turnaround time for cake deliveries.
I cannot say enough good things about this bakery! Not only were they able to turn around a gluten free cake with 24-hours notice, but it was AMAZING and you couldn’t even tell it was GF. We got the raspberry poppyseed and it was so moist and delicious. It was such a large cake and reasonable priced. Probably my new go to bakery! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Oh my God! I just tried these cupcakes fir the first time and I am smitten. I tried the wedding day cupcakes and it is the perfect amount of sweet. The most moisture cupcakes I've ever had
They were very responsive and the cake was delicious! I asked for a very simple and elegant design and it was executed with perfection.
Thank you Mermaids Bakery for being flexible and super helpful! I was loosing options for getting a cake for my 30th bday and I had 2 weeks left. Talk about last minute! I initially started with a two tier, but because my birthday was one of many other events, I had to shrink the size of the cake. The cake design came out so beautifully done and everyone loved the cake! Thank you so much!
