I came in during the height of the breakfast rush hour and the place was totally packed. As soon as I came in I was greeted and seated and had my order taken within 2 mins.The food, in my case the chicken fried steak with chili sauce, was sublime and cooked to perfection. During my meal my waitress was exceptionally attentive, which impressed me because of how busy she was.I had the pleasure of chatting with The Real Lisa. Such a wonderful woman who genuinely cares about her staff and customers.Do yourself a favor and make this your new Go To Breakfast Spot, I sure did!
Great breakfast!! We had the chicken fried steak and huevos rancheros, both were delicious. Service was fast and pricing was low. Great mom and pop style diner, would absolutely recommend and will be returning.
I'm giving five stars for the polite server, and good service provided. Also, the steak and eggs was a decent cut of meat and cooked properly and tender. Most little joints serve a flat, chewy steak. The food won't blow your mind or anything, but I've been here twice and had a good server and decent meal that is affordable. Good portion size with plenty of food. Definitely a locals' kind of place, very small, bland atmosphere, no windows. But, give it a try, you'll likely enjoy the food, service, and price.

What a tiny place! It's laid out like a long hallway, so not much indoor seating. The food was good, 4/5, needed more seasoning. Great service, though you could tell they were very harried for a Saturday morning.
We've been going to Lisa's Place for over 20 years, and Lisa and team deliver the goods every single time! It's such a treat to get over there and enjoy the delicious and plentiful coffee and wonderful food! It's inexpensive, quick and delicious, without fail. I would recommend Lisa's Place to anyone without reservation!
Good food. Great service. Portions are a bit smaller, but so are the prices!If you're eating out on a budget it's a great choice! On 102nd and Washington st., west side of the street. Try them out!
