Very nice place. It was my first time. Crowd and the vibe is very inviting, people are really out there to enjoy themselves. Love it.
I am having to update my review to a 2 star rating from the 4 I gave it previously. The men here are becoming quite aggressive. I had to tell a guy no to dancing multiple times and he proceeded in an attempt to grab my wrist. My friend and I were a little unnerved by it. Not cool! This happened on Friday evening 05/13/2022. Then another guy got real angry when I politely declined an offer from him to pay for my beverage. I don't think I will return for a couple of months or I may switch to going on Saturday or Sunday instead.*********************I recommend going on Saturday to take the class and dance the night away! Thursday crowd is not the best, which is why I recommend Saturday. Drinks are ok.
This used to be the best salsa place in Denver. Now, post Covid, they think having a live band on a Thursday (with about 15 people total in the place at 9:30) warrants a $40 cover, when they used to have live music nearly every weekend night for $15. :( It'll be awhile before I chance it again.
I've been coming here for a month and have thoroughly loved the salsa dance lessons and beverages.
Very nice place to go dance, it was my fist time there and I loved it. If you like Bachata, Salsa, Cumbia and Merengue this is the perfect place for you to go dance and have a good time.
It's a fun down to earth place to visit. People are very friendly haven't been here in awhile though about the place charging for plastic water bottles, it's a business what do you people expect?! Before going I suggest checking the websites dress code.
If you’re looking for the best Salsa/Bachata venue in Denver, CO then look no further than La Rumba.La Rumba boasts a decent dance floor, excellent music, and plenty of free parking in a lot next door.Dance lessons are offered pretty much every night. There is also live music and special events that happen on Friday and Saturday nights. But the best night, in my opinion, is Sunday nights which happens to be Salsa and Bachata night. The cover is $10 and there is a dress code that’s strictly enforced. Must be 21+ with a valid ID to enter. There is an outdoor patio where you can smoke, take a breather from dancing, or simply enjoy the night air. Please be sure to check out their website for dance lesson schedules, special events, and dress code requirements.
I’ve had a lot of fun going out here on Saturday nights and decided to take a lesson with a friend on a Monday night. Two stars to balance out my other experiences with the club environment. Drinks always come up fast and people are friendly and the djs have been great. However I had to come leave a google review after my experience last night. The male instructor was misogynistic and terrible. I’ve never had such a bad instructor, and I’ve been dancing since I was a teenager and taken many many many introduction classes. I would give the level one classes here a miss.
Great place to learn. The usual teachers for salsa on Saturdays are amazing. The energy of the club alone makes me wanna dance!
Dancing class was completely terrible and not beginner friendly. I highly recommend you do not waste your time here.
