Looking for a cool place for happy hour this would be the place. Anything more (food + ) it’s gonna be a pricey stop. The food is good and great portions (think about sharing) but ultimately this one hits the top dollar bracket. Service and people were on point for the price I paid so you will be taken care of with plenty of smiles and hellos and thank yous.
La Loma was OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. I have traveled for a long time and I cannot think of another place that had Mexican food quite as amazing as this place. Their food was flavorful and spicy (in a good way!). Their house margarita was strong and refreshing. Their chips and salsa were delicious! I got a chicken burrito and a pork burrito and they were both so, so amazing. I will definitely be back and would certainly recommend you add it to the top of your list when visiting Denver. Enjoy La Loma!
An absolute gem!I went at La Loma for dinner on June 28th and if I have to describe my experience in one word, it would be “AMAZING”. My server, Francisco, was extremely courteous, helpful and respectful. He started with a bottle of water and salsa and chips. He also helped me to select the right drink as well as gave me good recommendation on the main course. I ordered La Paloma drink and Chicken Fajitas. The drink was delicious and refreshing and the chicken was melting in my mouth and in store made tortillas were very good. The meal came with a side of chilli soup, which was mouth watering. Overall, I really enjoyed the ambience, the experience and had amazing food. I’m sure to dine here again when I visit Denver next time. Highly highly recommend.
Hands down most luscious pork green chile I’ve ever had. The color is so vibrant green, infused with smoky, simple, and punchy flavors, with succulent and juicy pieces of pork. It’s like how green chiles want to be represented in its finest fashion. The Chile relleno was also super juicy and flavorful, very filling. I enjoyed the rice very much. The other dishes are the green Chile enchiladas, red enchiladas, and brisket burrito with green Chile. We enjoyed super fresh and crunchy churros and sopapillas for dessert. Margaritas are potent and starts the party. Excellent service from host to server to bus people. House made flour tortillas - ? Will be coming back!
When we went there it seemed to be mostly catering to tourists. The service was excellent. The free chips and salsa were both very fresh and delicious, a nice spice to the salsa. We shared the single portion mixed grill fajitas. Everything was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. Fresh made flour tortillas and the pork chile sauce was so good! It does come with rice and beans, which is not specified in the menu, the rice was a bit bland.
So glad we came across La Loma.. honestly not sure what was better.. the service or the food! Our server was Mauricio, and he was on point!! He made the recommendations while ordering and we loved every bit of it! We had the fajita trio with shrimp, steak, and chicken. The green chile is AMAZING! The tortillas are fresh! We never had to ask for more tortillas, take plates away, or a refill on our drinks.. he was there! We made great conversations and truly enjoyed the food and his hospitality. Thanks! Also.. you can take some green chile and tortillas to go. DO IT! You won't regret it!
This place is awesome. Very good food. Prices for standard Mexican food are pretty reasonable. Alcohol is a bit pricey. See the bill in photos for more.
Absolutely amazing service. Flew in from Oregon for some concerts at Res Rocks and came here based on reviews. It was worth the stop. Request Mauricio as your server. Top notch. Can’t wait to come back again.
The server genuinely cared about our food allergies and took special care to ask the chef about specifics. The food was absolutely amazing. I would go so far to say the BEST tacos I’ve ever eaten! Highly recommended. Outdoor seating was nice as well!
Really excellent Mexican in the city. The restaurant is noisy but no too crowded. Service is friendly. The chips and salsa are a great start. The chips are light and the salad is special, tastes like there are roasted elements. The food is good. Rice is soft, flavorful. The Chile Relleno is crispy and cheesy but the Chile was hard to find. The stuffed soapa was excellent as is the green chili. Margaritas were standard fare.
