Perfect food, perfect setting, our waiter, Casey, went above and beyond! I adore this place, pre pandemic - present day. My only requestâ¦.bring back Sunday supper!
7:15 reservations. We were on time. No waiting. Good so far. A table in the fun eclectic basement as we asked, but right at the bottom of the steps. Distracting every time diners arrived. Perhaps donât out a table there. An hour after ordering, the food finally arrived. When it did, the server did not know who ordered what. Elk Bolognese sauce very good and served over noodles of varying thickness which may have been the reason they were either overcooked or very hard. Not al dente, hard. The meatballs were good, but again, the fat homemade noodles were undercooked. . The pasta with sweet corn was bland, undistinguishable from a mild alfredo. Boring. All the dishes were warm, not hot. Waiter was okay but not what a restaurant of this price level should have. Wine was lovely Because the food took so long, we did not have time to wait for replacement meals, so we just ate what was served. We could not enjoy dessert and coffee before the 9:30 show we had tickets for. With so many other fine dining options in Denver, we wonât be back.
Our experience was excellent. Our server was outstanding. We will gladly go back.
My wife and celebrated our initial wedding dinner with family here and even now have setup a tradition of celebrating at Jovanina's for our continued anniversaries. The staff, both kitchen and service, deliver beyond expectation each time and the quality is beyond superb. I cannot recommend this place any more highly.

Fabulous experience. We got sat in a beautiful booth downstairs, which was swanky and eclectic. The food was absolutely fantastic, we got the elk bolognese, pesto pasta, charcuterie, and of course dessert. Would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys an intimate setting with good ambiance.
