I took my family and my mother to India Oven on Valentine's Day to celebrate my birthday as it had been a long time ago that we had been there. My wife had called earlier for the price of the buffet and was told it was $13 per person for the buffet. When we seated ourselves, the waiter came over and mentioned something about having a "special" of sorts with lamb being served. It was unclear to me until we received the check that the buffet price had increased to $17 per person because lamb was being served. Had I known the price would have been this high, then I would have suggested another place to eat. As my mother was treating us to the dinner she is the one that paid and I advised not to leave a tip as the price was already unexpectedly higher than what my wife had been told as well as the fruit selection at the buffet was subpar. The slices of orange were good but the watermelon slices were not fresh at all and were not edible as far as I was concerned. In the end, my mother did pay the $17 per person but a few days later she noticed from the charges going through her bank that there was an additional $8 added to the total that she had paid for the buffet. Apparently, the waiter or somebody else behind the counter had added an $8 tip unbeknownst and without my mother's approval to the bill after we had left the restaurant. I didn't read anything about an automatic gratuity tax being added to meals so I feel that this waiter or whomever, was being sneaky, tricky and/or fraudulent in adding the tip himself. In conclusion, my mother called the restaurant and spoke to a lady on the phone who said that we could come in and get a refund on that added $8 tip but as much as I wanted to march right down there and talk to a manager/owner about this, it was more convenient to have my mother's bank reverse this added $8 charge. Although I stilled enjoyed most of the food, the service and the trickery was the big FAIL here for me and India Oven has lost potential future business from me and my family as we will be looking for another Indian restaurant to visit in the future.

Fantastic authentic Indian food in glendale area - hard to find! Very greet value for the buffet as well. The server was very friendly as welcoming, as well as knowledgeable about allergies

We visited India Oven on my son's birthday. The waiter told us it was a 'special buffet' since it was on Valentine's Day. We thought it would really be special but found out it was far below par for the buffet price of $17 per person. Our disappointment is putting it lightly. The only item added was the lamb and since 3 of our party were vegetarians, that wasn't so special. All the other items were basically the same every day selections. The only fruit that was offered was sliced oranges and wilted watermelon which looked like it had been previously frozen. The salad bar included wilted greens and cucumbers and quartered lemons. A special holiday special should have included grapes, pineapple, kiwi and other choices of fruit. Salad items should have had grape tomatoes and carrot/celery sticks. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Find another India buffet in the Denver area. $80 for a horrible substandard 'holiday' buffet was highway robbery! We will NEVER go back.

Food here is above average, price is great. Lunch AND evening buffets!!! They could make their Chana masala a bit softer (perhaps pressure cook it a bit longer) & Naan could be bit less chewy but OVERALL good food. One manager runs the entire show- but still great energy and welcoming attitude. This small business appears impacted by China COVID, as people doing mostly takeout, low(er) in-store dining, overall lower foot traffic. I hope surrounding communities come eat & help keep this small business going, so there is a nearby Indian/Nepali/Tibetan restaurant.

We used to love this place for their vegan Coconut vegetable soup. Now they will not sell.the soup unless it's the buffet? Not even for take-out. Idk, but we don't go here anymore.

I love eating at the Indian Oven.I have been a handful of times, every time it is delicious.I live in Colorado Springs so it is a little bit of a drive, but worth my time. It's yummy, and, the service is wonderful.& a special Thank you to Alex! He treats me so good every time. Thank you!

Chris employee call’s the owner as “mom”, brags about “mom cooks great” the owner is nepali not indian and doesn’t even have close sense to what indian food is, WORST FOOD EVER! No receipt will be given after. Please don’t waste your time going to this place, if you are looking for HALAL they mention it is halal but it is from Shamrock! Please a Humble request skip this restaurant and go to McDonalds.

Personally, I loved this place! I grew up with an Indian babysitter, have traveled the world, eaten at potentially hundreds of Indian food restaurants and while it’s not all your traditional Indian dishes, I felt it was perfect for what I was looking for. The lunch buffet is a great deal at 12.95! Bad reviews make me think these people haven’t eaten much Indian food in their time. I will say there were a couple items that may have tasted a little more raw (chickpeas). or slightly over cooked (broccoli) but all things considered I’d still give 5 stars! Will be back!

I had a dinner Buffet. The reason I gave 1 star is due to the taste of the food and experience.I liked a few items but a few of them were not that great. Also, the restaurant closes at 9PM but dinner buffet is closed at 08:00. There were quite a few items and most of the sweets that were finished by 07:30 PM. I asked if it can be filled but they said they are out of grocery stuff to make them which sounds completely absurd as what restaurant does not keep stock? If the buffet is until 8 then. They should have all items till 8.When I went to washroom to wash my hands there was a person who works in there, he just went into the restroom, pees and just left without washing the hands. When I said this to the cashier he just said “I am sorry”.I asked if I can get a refund/some concession due to the inconvenience and not all items present they said they could not.Not that good experience but the restaurant ambiance was good.

The food is great and the staff is very friendly every time we visit. The place is clean. Would like to see Carrot Pudding and Kheer for Lunch and Dinner.
